Holiday rentals in Timor-Leste

This is a great little place in the heart of Dili. You can park your car on the premises, which is very handy. Two bedrooms, a small living room with TV, a bathroom and a kitchen. Living room and bedrooms are airconditioned. The shower is great - always with hot water. What impressed us was the generator. Inevitably there was a power cut, but the generator was switched on and the AC kept going. Everything works. Impressive. In the yard there is a large cage with a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo inside. Super cute. There is also a fish pond with crystal clear water and with a couple of lazy Koys swimming around. All in all, a good place to stay. Well worth the money.

Overall good, there is a public swimming pool and football field, the whole area is big and close to the airport.

Great ans spacious place right in the center - and I mean center - of Dili. Well equipped kitchen and high quality build of the house (which is not a given in Timor-Leste as many things need to be specially imported), and high quality appliances, such as the A/C. Noman is a really, really helpful host that replies very quickly and supported the special requests I had because of my health needs for which I am most grateful. As I was there on mixed work/holiday trip, the Starlink internet was vital for the work part of my trip. Can highly recommend!

We had a nice stay at the Hotel California. The unit we got was on the water side, which is nice. The place is low key, and has a very relaxed vibe. Nice big shaded porch areas. It is a bit run down, but spacious, clean, and safe. It suited our needs perfectly. The staff is very friendly and responsive. A/C worked really well, in both rooms, which is great for visitors not accustomed to Timor’s heat and humidity. It includes free breakfast at the cafe, free laundry service, room cleaning, and airport transfer. The latter is especially nice, since the place is a bit out of the way (on the other side of Dili from the airport). On the microlet route 12 (pale blue) and close to several restaurants, Dreamers Dive Academy, and a nice beach and recreation area at Christo Rei (though none too close to walk in the heat and the road isn’t very nice to walk along). The listing was a bit confusing. We thought we were getting a two-bedroom apartment, but it was one bedroom with two beds.

A great little spot nestled in the middle of everything near the main road. The kitchen was definitely a plus as I made breakfast most mornings. Definitely worth it. No issues at all!!! Thao and the on-site assistance was very responsive and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.

I felt pretty happy with this stay considering the price and location. I walked all of Dili easily. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Clean, simple, everything worked. Hot water worked great. Really kind and responsive hosts, even gave me a ride to the airport on the last day. If you're looking for a simple, clean, budget-friendly option for an independent traveler, this place can't be beat.

Joy’s home is perfectly located in Dili. It is within a neighbourhood with very friendly locals opposite Timor Plaza (useful for groceries, restaurants, telecommunications etc.) and is also next to some very useful Microlet routes! The home itself is of outstanding value - an entire home (with very welcomed air conditioning) for a lesser price than that of hotels in Dili. Joy has been a wonderful host, very swift and helpful in her communications. As this was our first time in Dili she helped us with transport from the airport with her colleague Amito - Amito was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our trip. I do recommended learning about how the house fits into the history of Timor-Leste!
