Came to town for work and Lesley and her place were both great! I travel for work 8 months out of the year and wish every place I stayed had someone as helpful and easy to work with as her! I would absolutly stay with her again!

Awesome spot! The house has great spots to hang out outdoors in nice weather, and cozy places inside when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Everything you’d expect to have is there, plus more (functional pizza oven, speakers, dog supplies). Located a few minutes from Grand Marais, set back up the hill in the woods with views of the lake. Would have loved to stay longer :)

Viewpoint was enchantingly perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Our children (6 and 2) were fascinated by the records and CDs, and we had dance parties every afternoon. The bedrooms and game room were perfect for them - table and chairs for coloring, board games and Twister, and a guitar for my husband to entertain them with. The outdoor table served as a perfect stage for their musical performances, and we all loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the porch. The grown ups loved the beautiful mug collection, proximity to Fika, easy access to Grand Marais, and the view. I have never felt more at peace than we did at the Virwpoint. We can’t wait to come back! The grown ups

The house was perfect. Beds were insanely comfortable and the house was clean. Beautiful views, set right next to our favorite state park. Will be back for sure, several times!

Clean and comfortable stay. Location is great to explore all regional attractions and quiet with easy parking. Kristen was a great host, clear instructions for check in and check out. Will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Hosts were so kind and accommodating to our needs. Ability to jump in the lake after sauna was an absolute treat!

Great space. Comfy beds, nice seating and a little kitchenette if you want to make food! Appreciated coffee being provided and thee amenities in the bathroom. Quite a nice touch! I will definitely be recommending to others looking for a place in the Hancock/Houghton area!!

Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

Leslie’s place was just what we needed while we were in town. The location was perfect, you could see the law school right across the street and it was perfect because we were in town to attend the graduation there. From check in to check out the hosts were very responsive, helpful and even had local reccomendations. You will not be disappointed if you book this home. It was spotless and clean everywhere which made me feel so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and spices so it was easy for us to cook dinners. The coffee bar set up was great. The bedrooms offered so much storage making it easy for us to unpack and iron. One small note I’d add to help anyone that is short, it may be a good idea to pack a mirror to do your makeup since the mirror in the upstairs washroom is high. This home is so beautiful - from all the natural lighting, the view, to the decor. I am so happy I stayed here and would stay again the next time I’m in Thunder Bay.

Had a great stay! Excellent location in a very walkable distance within Grand Marais. Easy to walk down to the water to go stargazing at night, take a trip to the local shops, or a drink at Voyageur! Would definitely come back :)

My family and I stayed up here for a quick weekend trip, myself, my fiancée, our 6 month old and our dog. This Airbnb was the perfect combination of prime location and amenities. Day one before check-in we were able to drive the short distance to Grand Marais and go shop around the town, try out some new food, and walk the dog on the shore of Lake Superior. Check-in was such a breeze through the hosts extremely clear instructions. The condo was really clean and well stocked with all the little things that you forget to pack on a weekend away (and coffee)! The location being between Tofte and Lutsen let us get out to a few different towns to check out great food and drink options. One morning we went to Coho cafe for breakfast and coffee followed by 3 waterfalls all within 15 minutes, it made for a beautiful day. That afternoon we went down to the shore right at the resort and just took in the view. The sauna, hot tub and pool were just the cherry on top! Can’t wait to go back 👍

A very well designed space for a family of four- nice deck and walk down to the rocks by Lake Superior. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed! We’d definitely reserve again!

This was my first visit to the North Shore (WOW!) and Mikhala's space made it perfect! The view of Lake Superior was stunning and I enjoyed having morning coffee on the walkout patio. The space was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I appreciated the well stocked toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels, blankets, and pillow options. Tofte was a great central hub for all the hiking trails on my bucket list + Grand Marais was an easy/beautiful drive and I highly recommend eating at the Angry Trout - it was best meal I've had in a very long time! I loved it here so much I extended my stay an extra night. Highly recommend, especially if a solo traveler like me.

We had a great stay! Our second annual girls trip here and we had a blast. The condo is very clean and super cute.

This is the perfect place to stay if taking a class at North House or exploring Grand Marais. The location is perfect, and the place is cozy. I’d love to stay here again.

This was a very comfortable, well appointed, very well-kept condo in a quiet building in a great location. Provided were many thoughtful and surprising additions such as hammock chairs, daypacks, flashlights, a bench in the hallway for removing shoes, self-care products, cereals, coffee and condiments. We cooked a lot for ourselves in a very well-stocked kitchen making it a good value. We would definitely return to rent here.
