as the nation’s longest continually operating farmers’ markets in one site, the Old Town Farmers’ Market bustles in the shadow of City Hall every Saturday morning

Saturday mornings are made for hitting the Old Town Farmer's markets. You can find wonderful produce, bakery items, fresh flowers and fun arts and crafts. Not to be missed!

A Saturday morning MUST DO. There are so many local delights and surprises here…and great breakfast treats. Don’t miss the Virginia ham biscuits. Get here early in the day though, as vendors usually pack up and leave at about 11 am. No doggies allowed, unfortunately. :-(

Take a day trip down to Alexandria! From Union Station, take the Red Line to Gallery Place, transfer to the Yellow Line to Huntington, getting off at King Street. A free trolley takes you downtown.
