This is a fantastic place to visit (with children or without!). It is a 15 minute walk along the Yarra River and is a beautiful oasis only a few kilometers from central Melbourne. There is a farmer's market held there on the second Saturday of each month - be sure not to miss it!

Who doesn't love seeing and playing with animals. It's also right next door to Abbotsford Convent where you can grab some delicious food.

You can walk to this place if you have the time or energy, but a bike ride would be better (google Melbourne Bike Share) - this place is the bomb - great array of food. beautiful surrounds and the historic Convent across the road. Allow half a day.

There's a great cafe attached to the children's farm - and it's right next to the river so a really nice place to hang out.
