Because you can learn lots of history during the Khmer rouge regime. It used to be real prison back at the time, so you can see many pictures and watch a movie also listen to the audio tour describing about the history. The entrance ticket price is $3-$5.

The site of a large number of Khmer Rouge atrocities, Toul Sleng Prison Museum is an intense experience. Guided tours are available or you can wander on your own with an audio recorder. I recommend you allow a good couple hours after this tour to process everything you see...

The site is a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979.
