Ten Thousand Villages is a Fair Trade good store. It is ran by MCC an international NGO that has been doing work around the globe for 100 years (in 2020). The shop has all handmade goods from around the world made by artisans. All products are fair trade and have a sustainable focus.

This hand made goods gallery is entirely volunteer run. There are so many beautiful treasures from all of the world here! A great place to pick up gifts and souvenirs for loved ones.

This store sells handmade unique items from all over the world and the proceeds go directly to the families and people in the 3rd world countries who made them. This is a chain so it's not exactly unique to Asheville per se but it's seriously one of my favorite stores with all it's unique items and I really can stand behind the cause. They have some super interesting cookbooks with recipes from real people in countries all over the world. Great place to buy gifts for people.
