Don't be turned off by their location (bourbon st), this is the most throw back little jazz pub in the city. Phenomenal musicians play all the old time favorites nightly!

JAZZ - Everyone "old and young, from far and near" feels welcome at this cozy German-style beer hall. Patrons, seated near the fireplace or on the patio, puff cigars, down their favorite imported beers or sip cocktails made with European schnapps. The club's live Dixieland jazz never disappoints with local luminaries onstage nightly. Fritzel's claims to be the city's oldest operating jazz club, a fixture on Bourbon Street since the 60s in a 19th century building with great architectural bones. Although the atmosphere is lively, the audience comes to hear the music, not something too common along this stretch of Bourbon Street.

Even though its on Bourbon Street, this small German themed pub is a perfect locale to listen to great live traditional Jazz with no cover, just buy a drink and grab a seat.

Probably the last of the real Jazz bars on Bourbon St, the band at Fritzels never fails to impress, there's no cover just try not to sit directly in front of the trumpet player if you value your hearing.
