Tips from locals
This is a Gem. It's an 'old-school' experience with very few fences. You get to sit with most of the animals. The hosts are fantastic and as someone that great up in the Australian bush, this is one of the great places to visit.
Stumble on the ancient aboriginal sandstone carvings as you explore the grounds of the wildlife park.
Wildlife sanctuary with a visitor center & Aboriginal sites offering guided tours & animal feedings.
Walkabout Park was established to protect animals that come into care, breed endangered animals for release back into the wild and to provide an experiential learning space for students. This is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the animals' world and understand why and how to save their homes, food and wildlife corridors.
