Take I-70 west to Glenwood Springs and follow the signs off Hwy 82 to Sunlight. Great place for the kids to take ski lessons. You can get 1-on-1 lessons here for about the same price as a large group lesson at the bigger resorts.

Sunlight Ski Area in the summer and fall is a nice hike with lots of aspen trees. Park in the lot near the horse riding and go through the gate on the road.
