Housed in the former crypt of a 19th century church, the museum has sections on the history of the hospital since its foundation in 1740, including former London Hospital nurses Edith Cavell and Eva Luckes, and Joseph Merrick, the 'Elephant Man'. Merrick's remains are too fragile to be exhibited, but a replica skeleton created from digital 3D scans of his bones is now on display. You can also see a cardboard church he made as a present for the actress Madge Kendall. A showcase devoted to forensic medicine features original material on the Jack the Ripper murders. 12mins walk.
