An absolute Devon Must visit! Famous for its 2 in 1 pies, following 30 year old family recipes and with produce from the best local suppliers, a proudly independent family run restaurant and pub. Located in the centre of the tranquil village of Broadhempston, nestled in the valley of the River Hem, situated just a short drive from Ipplepen. A traditional country pub atmosphere, open log fires, rustic furnishing and a large beer garden located in stunning surroundings. First created in 1978 by hosts James and Ann, the 2in1 Pie is oven baked to order in an earthenware bowl. Half the bowl is filled with a delicious fillings pf your choice topped with short crust pastry, the other half with creamy cauliflower cheese. The pies are brought to your table on a wooden board and served with either a side dish of mixed vegetables or a freshly baked baguette & butter.
