To be seen at least once for the touristy but funny pier, it's views on the Golden Gate and Alcatraz and the famous and fun sea lions sleeping and playing around.

We recommend renting a bike and riding along the piers, across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and then take the ferry back to downtown San Francisco. Duration: ~half day. The view is worth it!
