The unique space of the Herget Brickworks in the Lesser Town on the bank of the Vltava River is home to a museum which exhibitions offers insight into the world of Prague-born Franz Kafka (1883–1924), one of the most important figures in 20th century world literature. The Franz Kafka Museum is a museum located in Prague dedicated to the author Franz Kafka. The museum hosts a number of first edition Kafka books as well as displays original letters, diaries and drawings created by Kafka. The museum is characterized as both literary and biographical.
