San Miguel de Allende looks amazing at street level, but it looks even better from above. Thankfully it’s not too difficult to get a fantastic panoramic view of the city. It’s only about a 15-20 minute walk from the plaza up to the viewpoint, which is known as El Mirador.

One of the best views over the town and surrounding country is from the mirador (overlook) southeast of town. Take Callejón del Chorro, the track leading directly downhill from here, and turn left at the bottom to reach El Chorro , the spring where San Miguel was founded (note the fountain and public washing tubs). El Mirador is a place both day and night offers one of the best views of San Miguel de Allende, is a must to take pictures and take a nice souvenir of the city point.
