Our favorite place for day hikes and bike rides. Lake Howard offers fishing, boat docks, kayak/canoe rentals, picnic pavilion, some of the most beautiful trails (rated easy to moderate) Lake Howard is also home to the Finish of the Pinhoti 100 trail run the first weekend in November.

This is a great place to go canoeing or hiking in Sylacauga. The meandering trails are not too difficult even for beginners.

Lake Howard via Sylaward Trail is a 2.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Sylacauga, Alabama that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is good for all skill levels and offers a number of activity options.
