A GREAT beach for small children. Park at the gymnasium/kona pool and walk across the field to the beach access path to get to the beach.
Perfect for families with keiki, this pond-like beach has no waves and plenty of sand.
Wonderful spot for kids to play in. Bring an umbrella for shade. Water is sheltered from ocean waves, lots of sand. The pools will rise with the tide so set up your stuff away from the water line. This is a very sheltered swimming area, great for small children. Park behind the aquatic centre and look for the opening in the fence across the field (towards the water). We only found it by watching people come and go.
