This walk is around 6.5 miles from us and a 13 minute drive. If you put in 'Telegraph Hill Trail' in maps it will take you near to where to carpark is. Once you're on the long Roger Penny Road you'll see the carpark on your right near where the hill trail is. This is a great walk before it's flat ground for nearly all of it (at least the part where we like walking). From the carpark you can go straight down and into the woods. We prefer going right before the woods and it's all flat ground and opens up into beautiful expansive views all around. If you walk down far enough (roughly 30-40 minutes each way) you'll come across a world war 2 bombing range observation shelter. An interesting part of history and from there you can carry on walking into other parts of the forest or start heading back. A really beautiful walk full of wildlife, nature and breathtaking views so highly recommended!

Free roaming animals? Check. Stunning views for miles? Check. Winding paths to follow? Check. And did we mention that the view across this gorgeous heathland are even better at sunset?
