The Windmill Farmers Market is a great place to get local foods, baked goods, produce, and crafts, much of which is from local Mennonite families. Open Saturdays only from May to October.

Every Saturday morning until 12:30 pm the mostly Amish farmers set up a farmers market along downtown Penn Yan. If you are in town on a Saturday it's a great way to shop for fresh things for your evening meal and interact with the Amish who live mostly in Yates County.
