The library was established in 1836. One of the old yet most beautiful library! There is a collection of books that they could not afford individually.

Exquisite, visually stunning! Great ambiance and a perfect place to read. And the story about Edgar Allan Poe & Sarah Helen Whitman, need I say more?

A great part of Providence history, one of the oldest surviving private libraries. Pop in and look around while visiting the historic colonials on Benefit Street.
