Originally built in the early 1900's, the house was dilapidated and not fit for habitation. It was out of passion to restore the building that Muda Blue came about. As the house is protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription, its structure and facade had to be maintained, which we were happy to do. An unusually awesome & modern duplex apartment in a shophouse for 1-4 persons. It's a rare unit, and the price actually reflects the high cost of electricity in Malaysia. IMPORTANT: 1. There are 2+1 flights of stairs to the Loft unit and loft inside. 2. This is a traditional house. Don't expect a modern hotel. You have to turn off a/c when going out, fiddle with padlocks, and practise recycling of cans, glass, plastic and paper, take out wet rubbish nightly.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay. The house is spacious and exactly as shown in the photos. With three toddlers in tow, we truly appreciated how much room they had to roam freely indoors. The big compound was a bonus — we brought inflatable pools and the kids had a blast ! The interior is beautiful and cosy, perfect for our gathering with friends. There was plenty of space to hang out and catch up. Everything was spotless — the whole place was very clean and well maintained. Parking was hassle-free even though we came with four cars. The price was a great deal for what we got. Eric was a responsive and helpful host, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. We had zero issues throughout our stay. If we could suggest one small improvement, it would be to have a mirror in every room — especially for the ladies getting ready 😊 Other than that, everything was superb and exceeded our expectations, especially considering the price. Highly recommend ! Thank you, Eric !

The location was perfect for us — it allowed easy travel (with our own transport) across the bridges and to George Town, while still being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Pax’s place a perfect gathering place for the family amongst dad, 3 sisters (one from Australia, one from Selangor and one from Penang herself) as well as for the nieces. His place is so comfortable and feels like home. We didn’t do much touristy activities but are happy with the facilities provided by the condo.
