Holiday rentals with lake access in Te Anau

Beautiful views and great location. Bathrooms were quite updated and spacious and the laundry was too. Perfect for our small family to relax after enjoying the outdoors.

Te Anau is beautiful! & Sarah’s place is perfectly located.. v short walk to the lakes. The house is modern and very comfortable! We all agreed that this was the best apartment during our NZ tour!

The Bivy was beautiful and exactly like the pictures! The area was peaceful and quiet and was a perfect location for our trip to Milford Sound. Carolyn’s instructions were very clear and she offered plenty of great recommendations for the area.

Wonderful cozy cottage that feels just like home. It was a beautiful place to stay for 2-3 nights and as a family of 5 we really enjoyed the easy access to all places as well as the living room and the board games. Anna keeps the place well stocked and you can cook or eat out (since it’s close to the restaurants and grocery stores too). Great stay!

Julian’s home was a wonderful base for our time in Te Anau and surroundings. The photos don’t do it justice! Great location for a balance of serenity in a quiet neighborhood but within an easy stroll to the center of town. Hope to stay again if we make it back to Fijordlands!

An excellent place to stay in Te Anau with responsive and helpful hosts. we had some confusion upon check-in regarding the sleeping arrangements but this was quickly resolved and we had a wonderful 3 day stay. this apartment is spacious, clean, well-located and had everything we needed. it is the perfect location if you intend to explore Milford Sound. recommended.

This bnb had what we needed for our quick couple days in Te Anau. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking items and the living room has plenty of seating. While I’m not taking full stars off for these items be forewarned that the bathroom is TINY. The sink is very difficult to use because of its size and water gets everywhere. It wasn’t a big problem for 2 nights but be aware if you’re doing an extended stay. The other item of note was that the single washer/dryer unit was almost constantly in use. We ended up having to take time to just stand near the door to get our clothes in queue.

Very nice place to stay close to the lake! Parking is easy and host is very friendly.

We had a great stay. The units were as described and clean. We booked 2 adjoining properties with an interconnecting door and this worked well for the size of our group. We also received helpful and prompt communication with enquiries that we had.

We really enjoyed our stay here: it is walkable to a beautiful path along the water (across the street), was very clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. The small fridge was apparently broken before we arrived and Justine went out of the way to procure a replacement before we arrived, which was appreciated. We would recommend this property!

It was a great stay. Very comfortable and cosy home. Lots of space. Good heating and lights. Host was reachable even at late evening and helped us in best possible way. Definitely recommended for family stay.

The house is in a great location, close to the lake, everything was satisfactory and impeccable.

It was such a cosy house. Really loved the view from the drawing room. Our stay was hassle free and really felt home. If I have money, I would buy such units 😀

Homely and comfortable stay with great amenities!

I loved this cottage. I felt right at home. I liked the extra touches of fruit and cereal along with a great shower. I enjoyed being close to the lake for an evening walk. I would definitely stay again.

One of the most spectacular Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. The view is sensational and it is a lovely, peaceful setting. The Airbnb itself was modern, comfy and clean. It was well appointed with a full kitchen and well stocked supplies. Bedrooms were comfy and there were modern, clean bathrooms. Te Anau is a great place to stay as a base for trips to Milford or Doubtful Sound. Black's Hut is around a 30 minute walk to the town centre, slightly longer if you take the very scenic route along the lake edge. There are no busses or taxis. All and all it was a fantastic stay and comes highly recommended.

Very roomy and comfortable accommodation. Large bathroom with a fabulous tub. We used the washer and dryer…very handy. Heated floors kept the place warm and cosy. Kitchen is well equipped. Would stay there again. Thanks Peter and Yanli.

We had a lovely stay at Kathryn’s. The location was a fantastic base for going up to visit Milford Sound and it was right near lake Manapouri - great for a gentle morning walk. The room was a good size for two people and each bed was comfy and had their own electric blanket. Kathryn made us feel very welcome in her home, making sure the log burner was keeping us warm and having a lovely chat with us over breakfast - only wish we got to stay and chat with her more!
