Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

If you close your eyes and dream of Provence this is what it’ll look like. This air bnb and their host Guylaine were absolutely heavenly. We were there as the lavender was just starting but just up the road we found a field full of poppies which made for such memorable photo ops. This private apartment over looking their beautiful pool, grounds and olive orchards with your own private chairs off the lavender and very own outdoor kitchen was nothing short of spectacular. We are so fortunate to have discovered such an amazing location we will never forget. A cold bottle of wine upon our greeting by Guylaine was such a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable, the apartment was well stocked and Guylaine sent so many recommendations for day trips, the best restaurants, wine and things to do. Our favorites were Lourmarin, Avignon, Roussillon and Gordes. We will be forever grateful for such a wonderful stay and such incredible hospitality. We highly recommend ❤️

Great stay in Eric's studio! Warm welcome, perfect communication, Eric made himself available throughout our stay. The studio and pool were impeccable. The accommodation is very close to the center of the village with parking just in front of the accommodation. I highly recommend it!

A dreamlike countryside estate in a peaceful location, surrounded by vineyards. Exceptionally well-equipped, with romantic rooms and incredibly kind hosts. We would happily return anytime. Absolutely stunning and just a short distance from Avignon.

Very nice studio with mezzanine for the bedroom but on which you stand without constraint. Quiet village, quiet environment. Manuel, very nice, allowed us to arrive a few hours earlier to drop off our belongings. Self-contained studio so entry and exit as we wanted. Very clean. No Wifi, a question we didn't ask. Other than that, we recommend it.
