Surridge Cottage is beautiful, as soon as we arrived down the lane we knew it would be perfect and it was and more. The cottage has been beautifully restored with high end finishes. Even the heated floor in the bathroom didn't go missed (my daughter loved it). Great location, we took a few trips out. Went into Lyme Regis and took the children to Crealy. If you want a private country break in a cottage, you won't beat it. Thank you, The Mellors x

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The place is exactly as described, a very cosy little cottage with everything you need. Everywhere was clean and tidy apart from general dust you’d expected, with a lovely little basket of treats left for us on arrival. Check in was self done, flexible, and smooth, same with leaving. Lovely little village, a couple of local pubs within walking distance, lovely cafe just next door along with some very friendly ducks, chickens, lambs, goats and the occasional cat. Would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend if you’re looking for a cosy and quiet get away. During our stay we explored Cheddar, Glastonbury and Frome, all within an hours drive and lots of lovely cafes and independent shops.

We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

We recently returned from a three night stay at Dunstone Cottage, it was excellent from start to finish. The cottage is beautiful and very clean, it has everything you could possibly need and there were a few lovely extra touches too. The bed is very comfortable and the hot tub was a real highlight. A perfect stay for our ‘mini-moon’, thank you Claire.

What a fantastic place! I'd done a bit of research beforehand and placed a Google pin, so we found the house very easily - despite it being 10pm by the time we got there. The location is perfect, only 20 minutes from the likes of Charmouth and Lyme Regis but then a cosy retreat in the peaceful countryside for the end of each day. A soak in the hot tub as it started to get dark was just what the doctor ordered. Lots of things were thought of too. Throughout, it was absolutely spotless. Would happily stay here again.

We had the most idyllic stay at Higher Lodge. It was perfect for our getaway with 3 dogs. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Discovering that the side gate led directly (literally) into Cockington Country Park Estate was the icing on the cake. The cottage is really comfortable and homely. The village is quaint and beautiful, quiet but plenty to do with cafes and coffee shops and crafts etc at the estate. The local pub/restaurant (The Drum Inn) was really good value, we ate there twice. I also discovered there is a Cockington Gin which is made locally using botanicals from the village. So purchased a bottle before leaving from the tea room. Thank you Ceri and Daniel our stay was 10/10 x

We had a really lovely stay here this week. The garden is beautiful, so peaceful and we even saw a woodpecker hopping around the grass one afternoon. Our daughter adored the trampoline and climbing frame, we also really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each day after exploring. We did day trips to Lyme Regis, Beer and Forde Abbey & Gardens. A perfect, peaceful spot to spend a few days, thank you.

Had a wonderful solo stay with my dog at Dawn’s place. The cottage was cozy, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. Great local walks right from the door, a friendly dog-welcoming pub nearby, and a real sense of peace. Felt safe and relaxed the whole time —would absolutely return. Thanks for having us Dawn!

This is a cosy and charming property, which is tastefully furnished and contained everything you could possibly need (including delicious flapjack!). The area is rural, and perfect for complete rest and relaxation. Melanie was a perfect host - very friendly, relaxed and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

This was for me the definition of a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Upon arrival everything is clean and pristine, the garden you walk past is tidy and eye catching. The best part of this place is the location. It is on a quiet farm that has multiple walks next to it. You can really unwind in the countryside. To top it all off Paul was very generous in the hamper he left out for our arrival. All the essentials for the kitchen and then some. Thanks Paul, the family and I loved it.

Peter was a great host who took time to make us welcome and explain everything. The setting is very quiet and peaceful and the shared garden is large and beautifully planted, with plenty of seating. There is a gate from the rear of the garden which leads to various walks. Pitney Farm shop is a shortish walk away and offers fresh produce and a charming cafe with great lunches. Peter and Sue’s little dog Tulip is a real character.

Beautiful property. Was better than we anticipated. The host was so helpfully and all the places she recommended were even better than expected. The property it self was gorgeous and extremely peaceful. Will be recommending to friends and family and hopefully be back

We had a lovely few days in Devon and this beautiful cottage. We were two families and unexpectedly had an extra dog with us due to family illness so it was a difficult time but Paul was very helpful. The house was the perfect size for two families so we were able to relax and enjoy the local surroundings as well as the house itself. We were particularly impressed with the quality of everything in the house from comfortable beds, lovely linen and towels to an amazing assortment if games and books which kept us all entertained. The guidebook was really helpful as there are lots of lovely things to see and do in the area.

Linda was a most welcoming, friendly and helpful host. She maintained contact with us throughout our stay in order to ensure we had everything we required. The cottage and its garden provided a much needed retreat, with beautiful villages and places to visit within a 10 minute drive. The location was perfect and we loved every minute of our stay. Berry Farm Cottage is extremely comfortable and had all of the facilities we could have asked for. It is set in a very beautiful and peaceful location. Neil was very communicative and the description on Airbnb very accurately reflects the accommodation. This is one of the very best Airbnb experiences we have had as a family and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely accommodation, well appointed and extremely private .

We had an amazing stay for 3 nights at the Granary with our kids. We got a warm welcome from the lovely cat couscous! The place was clean, spacious, tidy and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. There were enough of board games, books and toys as well as outdoor space to keep the kids entertained. The hosts Karl and Helena were very friendly and helpful. Their son was also very kind and friendly with our kids, even sharing some of his stuff to play. This quiet location was ideal for us to explore north Devon and the Exmoor areas. Overall it was a very pleasant experience, highly recommended.

What a lucky find, it could not have been more perfect for us, the beautiful view from the sitting room and the equally glorious walk into beautiful Lyme Regis was the perfect tonic. We loved our stay and would be very happy to return.

The location near Dunster, Exmoor, & the Somerset coast was perfect. The cottage is really spacious, cozy and comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay together with our two family dogs. The village is cute too and has a good pub as well. Will definitely recommend James’s place, would come back there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Harriet and James's cottage - very peaceful and picturesque surroundings, and our children loved the swimming pool. Our hosts were very friendly, including the dog :) We're definitely keen to repeat the trip.

Thanks to Nancy for a lovely stay! It was ideal accommodation for attending a wedding in Exeter whilst enjoying a peaceful country get away. The cottage is well maintained and comfortable. It is very thoughtfully equipped, especially with kitchen utensils and washing facilities. Nancy had left everything spotlessly tidy for our arrival. We were even welcomed with some local cider and ingredients in the fridge to make a tasty cooked breakfast. Nancy was very friendly to chat to and provided us with useful local information. She was also very accommodating of our baby, providing a cot with bedding, a baby towel and a high chair. We hope to return to stay one day and be reunited with Pinot the cat!
