Amy had milk for me in the fridge when i arrived and cereals, which was a lovely touch. The place is quaint, had everything i needed, and Amy had great local info at hand, which was appreciated. Was perfect for a gateway and was exactly what i needed.

one of my all time favourite holiday stays in the north island, loved sharing it with friends this time. Simple in the best possible old school kiwi bach sense, but with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderfully remote to get away from it all, beautiful scenery and fantastic outdoor space to relax in any weather.

Fantastic spacious, clean and extremely comfortable cottage in an idyllic tranquil setting. My dog and I had a wonderful stay with plenty of room for him to run around the large property or chill out on the verandah and watch the farm animals next door. Very relaxing great rural environment with perfect setting and a wonderful host.

2nd time staying at Cecile’s rebooking with her again revalidates our first stay , great host clean and tidy place easy to communicate with , recommend to others .

Loved our stay here, both my husband and I were working in the Palmerston North area and we have a little dog, staying here was ideal for us and made the end of our days relaxing and stress free. Sarah made sure our every need was catered for. Thanks again for your superb hospitality 10 out of 10!

Beautiful cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable, warm and cosy weekend. Super squeaky clean and well stocked with beautiful linens, luxurious towels and super comfy bed. We had such a relaxing weekend, and our dogs loved being able to join us for the trip away. Thank you Marie and Matthew for a lovely weekend and hosting us.

Annette was lovely and very welcoming. She especially made our dogs felt comfortable and all of us felt right at home away from home. the place was clean and thoughtfully decorated. It was really perfect. Definitely stay there again!

Awesome spot, hidden away from Palmerston North. Feels like you have gone bush, but you are only 15 minutes away from Palmerston North. Jacquie was great, there was warm bread waiting, she made a fuss on my dog and made me feel at home. Shame about the weather, but the walk next to the river sounds great.

An absolute gem! Dwayne's home is beautiful, the views are amazing and it's incredibly private and quiet. The house is well maintained and has everything you need, we were there for 2 weeks and it was great! Dwayne was quick to respond to messages in the lead up to our booking, answered all our questions, and even met us at the house to give us a guided tour and detailed handover to ensure we were all set. He also checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The house is spacious and would be great for large groups, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are modern and clean (and theres lots of them!) Honestly couldn't have asked for a better property or host!

Such a beautiful home for our family of 5. This house had absolutely everything we needed so we decided to stay home and enjoy it. we will totally be back 😊

We stayed here with 12 friends for my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect. He loves native bush and birds, so this place was a dream. The house feels like a fairytale—spacious, warm, and beautifully designed. The kitchen is well-equipped and flows easily to the patio, where we barbecued and dined outdoors. There’s a handy kitchen window for passing food outside, and both indoor and outdoor tables made it easy to adapt to the weather. The property sits on 7 acres of native bush with walking tracks, birds like piwakawakas following us, and a magical glow worm walk at night. There's an outdoor fire area with couches, ambient lighting, and a speaker system that connects throughout the house and outside. It’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and nature. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and so grateful. Huge thanks to the hosts for the clear communication and thoughtful touches. If you're thinking of booking—do it. You won’t regret it.
