The historic building was the original Church of Manchac and was remodeled into a home. Located within walking distance to the famous Middendorf's Restaurant! Also nearby is the public boat launch, Sun Buns river bar boat taxi, and other local favorite spots! Located about 40 miles outside of New Orleans.

Please read detailed description of property before booking. Set in a 22 acre parcel on the Natalbany River 6.5 miles from downtown Hammond. Enjoy nature with a walk along the trail from house to river. This building has been built with mostly reclaimed, reused and upcycled materials. The rustic interior walls are clad in huge boards milled on the property after Katrina damage. Note the unusual shower with handmade tiles. There are other unique structures on property.

Located just 1 mile from the Village of Folsom where all essentials can be found. Numerous horse show venues are located nearby. We are approx 1 hr from New Orleans, 1 hr from Baton Rouge and 30 min from Hammond. Short term, self-service horse boarding may be available for an additional fee. With prior notification to host you may have full access to onsite boat slip. Depending on size of boats slip can host up to 2 boats at one time.
