We had a really wonderful stay here. The place is very private and access to the beach is great! Elizabeth and Idi (the helpers and caretakers) were extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend it and will definitely be back!

Private beach villa

ShehnaazRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is a little dated but well maintained. The place was very clean. Amazing place if you need peace and quiet with access to the beach. A lovely swimming pool complete with a cabana, grill area, toilet and shower facilities. Lovely, well manicured gardens with a swing and trampoline. The house and gardens were very well lit too. The town centre is 15 mins away. The host is very responsive and happy to go the extra mile. The care taker saidi was very helpful.

Dhow House, Ushongo beach, Tanzania

MichaelRating, 5 stars40 months ago
Excellent. A beautiful, airy and spacious, tastefully and simply furnished home that is 100 metres or so from the gently-rolling ocean. The staff are also superb, hardworking, gentle and unassuming. We would love to go back sometime. Thank you Madeline.

Khanbai Beach House: Jivu

SandraRating, 5 stars19 months ago
This was one of my favorites. The two bedroom house is situated in a quiet neighborhood right by the beach, south of Tanga town. It had all the amenities that I like such as great Wifi and water with pressure. There is also a nice solar setup incase the electricity ever goes out. The house is in a compound with other houses, with friendly neighbors but more importantly gave me a sense of security that I needed for the kids and myself. Lastly Kai and Hussein were great hosts, providing any information and assistance quickly as needed. We will definitely return here again.

Juani Pangani

Hello Heaven. I rarely write reviews but in this case there are no doubts doing so. Yes we felt like living in heaven. This is our expactation being there. We felt like queen and king. We got feed with amazing local meals, fruity, spicy, delicious creations of Africa. Maybe a giraffe next to our table was missing! All the big animals we met later at their homeland which is that far away. Oh my god. Heaven and God match together. Peace. Silence. Ocean. All in one. It’s magic. We will come back. Thanks Stefan to offer this place to foreigners to feel like gently taken into Paradies. Being friends with the locals means so much for us. See you soon again. Love Maya and Tobi

Hibiscus Beach House

MarionRating, 5 stars20 months ago
We had a really relaxing stay at Hibiscus House with my husband and my son. Exactly what we needed! The house is right on the beach, very clean, and the Maasai guard and the cleaner Hidaya welcomed us very well and took good care of us. It is an ideal place for a family or friends as it has 2 big bedrooms. It is only a few minutes walk away from several places to eat like Ushongo Bandas or Emayani (which has a pool), so nice to get more options. Seif was also great to communicate with us before and during our arrival. The only things I would say is that it would be nice to have a bit more ''equipment'' (like a bigger fridge, coffee press, more sun beds/loungers etc) and also if the windows could have glass windows to protect from the wind and cold (not sure if possible), but that is just a detail. The house is located on the land of an abandoned hotel so it looks a bit like a ''ghost hotel'' at the back of the house but that is not really an issue. Just surprising when you arrive!
