We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded.Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

Wir hatten so eine schöne Zeit. Der Garten ist riesig und das Haus war sauber und wir hatten ganz viel Platz als Familie. Zu Fuß kann man die Umgebung erkunden. Restaurants, Supermärkte und der Strand lässt sich zu Fuß erkunden. Eine tolle Nachbarschaft und vor allem eine sehr ruhige. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die Familie hat uns sogar morgens Frühstück gemacht, das unglaublich lecker war. Wir sind sehr traurig gehen zu müssen und behalten das Haus in schöner Erinnerung . Bis bald , Anna und Tim

Der Aufenthalt war rundum super – die Unterkunft war sauber, gemütlich und genau wie beschrieben. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber: unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Ich kann diesen Ort und den Gastgeber wirklich von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Danke für die tolle Zeit!

Мы провели в этом доме целый месяц и остались в восторге! Просторный, уютный, с прекрасной чилл-зоной у реки, где можно расслабиться и насладиться природой. Особенно понравилась крыша – идеальное место для занятий йогой. Кухня полностью оборудована, так что готовить было удобно. Кровати в спальнях комфортные, спалось отлично. До пляжа всего 5-7 минут пешком, а до серф-спота в Велигаме – около 25 минут. В целом, это был замечательный опыт, и мы благодарны хозяевам за гостеприимство!

Incroyable séjour chez Till et Claire. Un couple adorable qui a été aux petits soins avec nous. Nous étions 6 voyageuses et avons été extrêmement confortable dans leur logement avec air conditionné et salle de bains dans toutes les chambres. L’espace extérieur est magnifique. Ils ont aussi été flexibles avec nous pour le Check out. 100% recomendable

Situated in a peaceful neighborhood, the villa offers a serene retreat while being conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from major restaurants and tourist attractions. Irosh, the host, and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming. They greeted us with a delightful welcome drink, making us feel at home right away. Irosh was an excellent guide, offering insightful recommendations on places to visit and assisting us with transportation arrangements. Overall, the combination of the villa’s charm, its ideal location, and the hospitality of the host made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in einem Bungalow und es war der Hammer! Es war so groß und super gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Bad war riesig, alles war sauber! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist super grün und schön und der Pool ist auch wirklich toll angelegt. Einen kostenlosen Tuktukservice von 10-19 Uhr stand uns jeden Tag zur Verfügung. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück kostet 2200 Rupies und ist ein ausreichendes Buffet. Es wird sowohl europäisches als auch lokales Frühstück angeboten. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

Great villa & amazing staff. The chef and the workers were amazing and super helpful. The place was clean and well cared after. The villa has four master bedroom, two are connected while the other two are separated and far apart, important to note if traveling with kids.

The Mugatiya is a very special place. We stayed with family friends for a week and had the holiday of a lifetime. Ahangama is a chilled place with some very cool bars and restaurants here and there. I wouldn't say that the beach is walkable due to kids and the heat but tuktuks are easily arranged.

SeDi villa is a very special place to stay. The villa itself is beautiful, with such a lush backdrop. The bedrooms are very large, each with an impressive en-suite. The indoor-outdoor living is peaceful and helps you connect with the nature around you. We have been surprisingly unaffected by mosquitoes. The pool and garden have been enjoyed by all of us. Amila and his family are what has made our stay extra special. They have been very kind and helped us have a meaningful stay, giving us many Sri Lankan experiences.

From the minute we arrived it was a fantastic experience. The villa is amazing and even so much better and bigger than we thought. From the pool area and downstairs bar area to the upstairs kithen / chill out area are layed out so well you couldnt help to love the place. The villa has everything you think of and then on to one of the best things..... The Staff wow they were amazing . ... You have a chef available for you if you wish to dine at the villa you just pay for the groceries and they do the rest and i have to say the food was amazing we had breakfast and dinner most days in the villa. The chefs are talented and can cook a variety of cuisines and everything we got was always cooked ,seasoned and presented well.. The pool area is really good and is cleaned every morning and the kids and adults spent plenty of time in it . There is a supermarket close buy and numerous beaches that can be reached on foot or grab a tuk tuk which can be arranged by the staff

Wir waren einen Monat im Mango House. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im Erdgeschoss mit Garten, der Gastgeber Chanuka wohnt mit seiner Familie darüber. Wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen und wohl gefühlt, die Familie ist sehr herzlich, gastfreundlich und immer für Fragen und Anliegen offen. Sie haben uns auch zum traditionellen Neujahrs-Frühstück eingeladen, ebenso haben wir einmal gemeinsam gekocht, was eine tolle Erfahrung war. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt, ist sauber und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Lage ist perfekt gelegen, um mit dem Tuktuk schnell in Galle Fort beziehungsweise Unawatuna Beach zu sein. Ebenso hatten wir es als Medizinstudentinnen für unser Praktikum nicht weit bis zum Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. Wir können einen Aufenthalt bei Chanuka und seiner Familie nur wärmstens empfehlen!

We are extremely happy to have found this amazing house. It was exactly what we were looking for to recharge at the end of a long road trip, close to the beach and with every comfort. The host was very welcoming and friendly and he also helped us to organise a surprise to two of our friends travelling with us that just married. The house was better that the description and very clean. We totally loved it. We also received a welcoming juice at the check-in. Beds are very comfortable, each room has air conditioning and ventilator. The living is very cozy and the kitchen has everything to cook. Totally recommended and when we’ll be back in Sri Lanka we will definitely come back to this house.

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)

The house is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. It is far bigger than it looked in the pictures. The manager Manoji is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and he also did us a dinner one night which was the nicest meal we'd eaten in Sri Lanka, and the cost was very reasonable. He was always on hand if we needed anything. There's also a night watchman that stays in the grounds every night. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and the main road. The road to the house is quite narrow so be warned if you have a wide car!

Villa Vintage is a beautiful authentic home away from home. Although it is big enough for a family, the two of us had a really nice time here. Great place to work and to relax at the same time. The villa is secluded in the green and lush hinterland of Hikkaduwa. Away from all the city noise but at the same time it is very close by and walkable to the heart of Hikkaduwa. We can not recommend this villa enough. Prabhath & Brig Himal are excellent hosts who will do anything to make you feel at home. Easy communication throughout our stay.

We stayed 5 days at this beautiful Airbnb right by the beach. It was the host's childhood home, and honestly, I can't imagine growing up somewhere so stunning. It rained almost the entire time we were there because of the monsoon, but the house was so perfect to watch the rain. The rain would pour off the roof like a fountain, and the beach was two two-minute walk away. The property had sooooo many trees, mango, bananas, olive, coconut, bay leaves, you name it, they have it. The hosts were gracious and allowed us to freely pick mangoes every morning. Everything at the villa made us feel right at home. We loved the caretaker uncle. The property was a little far off from central Mirissa (15 Minutes by tuk-tuk), so the beaches were immaculate and quiet. Most of the time, we had the entire beach to ourselves. We could hear the sound of the beach at night from our rooms at night. Recommended if you are travelling with a big group and wish to stay for a while at Mirissa.

We have just got home after our trip to the Tropical Beach House in Hikkaduwa. What a totally lovely time away. Great communication with Gavin prior to the visit and out in touch with Darmith (house keeper) and taxi transport for arrival. We arrived at 2am to be met by Darmith and Saji (security) and felt at home straight away. Darmith had collected fridge essentials before we arrived so we were set up for the following morning. The house and gardens are lovely, the sound of the ocean 24/7 is just perfect and the house was spotlessly clean with good facilities. Sangrita helped to provide us with Sri Lankan breakfast foods, loved the Dahl curry and the hoppers but also gave us an awesome Brit breakfast of eggs and bacon! Chandra was on hand at night to cook a bbq which was tasty and varied. We used Tuk tuks to get out and about during our stay which were easy to find. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. Lots of local bars and eateries along the beach or further into Hikkaduwa.

nice enclosed private space, Thuruni was very clear and easy to communicate with. She also aided with anything extra you may need. the space has everything you need and can tell it's extremely well though through. there is a little bit of building work which they did point out but this is due to low season
