Garden Villa Ronnaduwa - Entire Villa with Pool

AilsaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It is impossible to sum up just how welcome we were made to feel from the minute we arrived until departure. The villa was beautiful and the pool exquisite- large to relax and swim and spotlessly clean . The inside exactly as described. But the experience was made special due to the wonderful staff, Gihan and his team, who could not do more to make the stay so special. Beautiful breakfasts showcasing Sri Lankan specialities and home cooked food for dinner if wanted for a reasonable cost. He also drove willingly to nearby Hikkaduwa so able to eat out on as many nights as one wanted. However they also respected guests desire for privacy - a difficult balance to achieve. They went above and beyond anything we might have hoped for. The villa is a little remote but one knows that before booking and the tranquility more than made up for the inability to walk to restaurants. I would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

O2 Villas - Weligama Family_Room_#1

AbhayRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The place was lovely, right on the river front and absolutely peaceful. Its also very close to the beach and we would definitely recommend the place. Somehow the tuktuk price around the area were pretty outrageous, so if you have a rented or owned vehicle, it’ll make things a lot easier but that’s not on the host, they were absolutely amazing.

This house is excellent! Place, nature, beach, and all of things are very comfortable and nearby the house. When we were planning our trip we looked at photos of this house and thought that it is smaller and has small garden, BUT there is a big garden with hammock and beautiful lights outside, the house is very big. We’ve saw a lot of friendly black monkeys, peacocks, chipmunks and other animals - it’s awesome. When you planning to live in this house - you should have no doubts - it is modern, comfortable and friendly place with GREAT host Ravindra! He became our friend and helped in all things that we’ve asked. Thanks a lot, my friend, we’ll try to get back! In Russian: Friends, photos of the house belittles its coolness, everything is much better than in the photos. There is a large garden, a "swimming" beach with a maximum of 5 minutes on foot, shops nearby, everything is convenient, to Weligama 10 minutes by tuk tuk, to Mirissa 20 minutes by tuk tuk. Close to the villa surfing beach and a bunch of fun spots like Chiki Monkey. Host Ravindra is just top notch. If you are thinking about this villa - take it boldly, it is very nice, the house has everything you need. There is a house nearby where locals live - they are very kind and helpful in the house (they clean and look after the garden). There is a hammock in the garden, and maybe a swimming pool will appear soon, as the host Ravindra said. We stayed there for a month at eight - everything was cool. We recommend it unequivocally.

Siyambala Villa Unawatuna

AnshuRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The villa is in a beautiful surroundings, overlooking a rice field. The villa is very spacious with swimming private pool. We thouroughly enjoyed out stay here. Christa was very helpful. The helper onsite is really very helpful, and responsive. Only negative I would say is it was far from attractions and main city. Beach is around 4 kms and getting a transport here is a challenge. Booking vehicles in advance to move around could help. The approach road is narrow around 100 mts from the main road.

Unawatuna, oceanfront villa

CristianRating, 5 stars7 months ago
One of our all-time favourite accomodations, from over 40 countries visited. What we loved: - falling asleep with the sound of waves, which was perfect (not too loud, not too low) - our mornings and sunsets on the terrace of the building - the location inside the forest, and on top of the cliffs - nature all around us, with nice fauna (varan, monkeys, peacocks, small birds) visiting us. Don’t worry, there is nothing dangerous, they avoid people - The access to the cliff which is just a couple of steps away from the villas. Very good place for sunsets and meditation after - The pool is really nice for relaxing swimming at the end of the day - Near 2 beaches : Jungle beach (amaaaazing place) and Unawatuna beach, also very nice - Small cozy restaurants just outside the villas - A lot of space inside, very comfortable beds & pillows - The host and personnel are top-notch. Hospitality at next level. It was my wife’s 25th birthday and they helped us make it memorable. Great experience!

Coloration Apartments (upstairs)

LukasRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I had a fantastic stay at Coloration Villa! Sumudu is a wonderful host—welcoming, helpful, and always available. The villa is modern, clean, and surrounded by nature, offering the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation. I loved the spacious rooms, open-plan kitchen, and the peaceful garden. The location is ideal—close to Hikkaduwa’s beaches and nightlife, yet tucked away in a quiet village. Whether you’re here to surf, explore, or just unwind, this place is perfect. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Moss Villa

ScottRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great place, especially the pool, AC and fans. Well located within short walking distance of Ahangama main street. Close to Rolling Pin (200m), which is a great bakery - can recommend the croissants and brownies. Also close to O Yummy, a restaurant serving fabulous Lebanese food, including delivery at a small extra cost (300LKR) - beats Uber Eats. Also convenient to both Pilates studios in Ahangama, being Pura Pilates and Ulu Pilates. With all of these amenities close, it is still private, quiet and well set up with very helpful host, including his family helping out. The pool is an absolute bonus when you get hot ‘n sweaty and the hot water to rinse after is lovely. Would recommend without hesitation for a great stay in Ahangama, or on the South Coast generally.

Chami's Jungle Beach Coconut Tree House Paradise

LeahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We really felt extremely comfortable at Chami's place. The property is actually integrated between the trees and into nature. What was absolutely new to us at first became cozy very quickly. Not least because the staff are really friendly, accommodating and lovely people. The breakfast has been extensive, individually designed and very tasty. So paired with the ambiance so a great start of the day! Our room was simple, but this was completely sufficient for our purposes. Everything necessary is definitely available and the ceiling fan also ensures enough cooling. For those who like, the nature shower is also a great experience - with luck you even get a look at monkeys! Despite a few small holes in the mosquito net, it has totally served its purpose & if you sleep with earplugs, you also have no problem with the ambient noise. Anyone in Hikkaduwa should definitely make a stop here!

South Point Abbey - Beachfront 4 bedroom Villa

MittyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a find! This Dutch colonial beachfront villa was perfect for our adult family escape. The historical charm is incredible - you really feel Ceylon’s colonial past while enjoying modern luxury. The food was absolutely outstanding. Having meals cooked specifically for us felt so special - no crowds, just beautiful dishes prepared exactly how we wanted. The chef clearly knew their craft, and those leisurely dinners together were pure magic. Staff were wonderful - attentive but never intrusive, creating that perfect sophisticated atmosphere. No kids meant we could fully appreciate the villa’s elegance and that serene beachfront setting. Dining on colonial verandas with ocean breezes, excellent food, and great conversation flowing - it felt like our own private historical retreat. Perfect for adults wanting something truly refined and peaceful. Already planning our return!

Ganguli Greenery (Organic Food & Nature)

KarolinaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Absolutely magical place. If you are a nature lover, this is a dream come true. Me and my husband stayed in Ganguli for 10 nights and we loved every second of it. Gonapinuwala is close enough to the beach and nearest bigger town - Hikkaduwa, but at the same time it is far enough to be in a calm place, away from other tourists. The garden that surrounds the house is natural, so it feels like living in a beautiful jungle, with monkeys jumping on the trees and endemic birds sitting on the branches (Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill visited us!). But you shouldn't worry, it never feels unsafe, we've never seen any dangerous animals or anything like that. Chandana and Krishna are unbelievably helpful and kind, they just made us feel like home. They are always ready to give advice or organize transport. I hope they will read it, so Chandana and Krishna, let me thank you again! You made our trip even more exceptional. You are the best!

FireMoonGarden is not just a villa, but a whole experience. And I'm sure you won't find anything better around Mirissa. Staying here ended up being one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Absolutely flawless. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for something a little more special.

Family beach house w/ pool - Madiha, South coast

MellisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We came in a group of 4 friends. Never seen such spacious villa. Comes with 3 bedrooms (two located on top and one at the ground floor). Spiral Staircase might be difficult for elderly. First thing that I must praise is the housekeeper, his name is Lakshan and he’s the most attentive boy ever. He’s always ready to assist. He helps to cook and reheat too. Theres ample of place for us to chill. From the living hall to the kitchen to the outdoor seats we basically fully utilized the space. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the Main Street coz the small lane seems quiet at night but it’s convenient to order food via apps so we never had to walk out. By the way; we arent pet lovers but the two doggies are sooooooooo well behaved.

3 Triple room Villa with Jungle view & Pool

DomRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We’ve just come back from an amazing trip to Sri Lanka, and we stayed for 6 nights at Gaya’s wonderful home. We loved it; the location feels remote, but it’s only a 10min walk to the beach/restaurants etc. Every morning I’d wake up and have a coffee on the veranda, overlooking lush greenery, peacocks, cattle - not something you get in everyday life. The staff were very helpful, and the accommodation was comfortable, clean, and is a wonderful option if you’re looking for a self-catering home stay. A big thank you to Gaya for letting us stay, we hope to be back soon!

Coconut Grove Villa Hikkaduwa

AndreaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Coconut tree villa is such a special place. The location is really incredible, so peaceful, surrounded by jungle with birds, monkeys and peacocks. Our children loved the pool and were made to feel like royalty by the staff on site. We had a few lovely meals prepared by the lovely ladies for extra cost. Roshan the tuk tuk driver took us to the market to choose some fish, but beware, we were scammed when we went ventured off from him to buy fruit, spending £17 on a few items! The town is a 5 min tuk tuk ride away and we paid 600 ruppee each way, directly to Roshan. We were provided with a mobile and we just called him once we had finished at the beach and he arrived in miniutes. Lesley is a fantastic host, and responded to our requests. We had the most incredible start to our trip and wished we had booked longer, we cant wait to return to CTN!

Luxury Beach Front Villa Olu, Galle

RachelRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had the most wonderful family Christmas at Villa Olu. The villa exceeded our expectations - the photos don’t do it justice! It was the most perfect setting for relaxing, having fun, playing games and not to mention the incredible family meals prepared and cooked by Kumara and Nadi!Experiencing the delicious traditional Sri Lankan cuisine was a huge highlight. Kumara could not do enough to help us - book tuk tuks, arrange massages at the villa and arrange transport. The villa is incredibly peaceful yet only ten minutes from Galle where we enjoyed visiting shops, sites and cafes. We would not hesitate to stay at Villa Olu again, what a super family holiday!

Mataramba Lodge

EsterRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Peaceful place, stunning views and relaxed outdoor lounge area. Honestly a great find, away from the hustle and bustle, yet so close, just a tuk ride away. The pool is small, but quite deep and most importantly, shaded and refreshingly cold. But what we enjoyed most was that auntie made us feel right at home with lovingly prepared food.

Ebb Villa: Six Surf Spots a Five Minute Walk

TinaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This was a great place in a great location. The staff were super helpful. Chef Indy is a great cook and we enjoyed both his breakfasts (French toast was great!) and dinners (excellent curries). Kelum helped us arrange surf lessons as well as providing other tips. We had a great stay. The only downside of the place is that it is between a busy street and the train tracks and the train can be a bit loud but it didn’t keep any of us from sleeping and the private yard area is very nice. The open kitchen/living/dining area has a beautiful view of the ocean and the AC in the bedrooms worked great.
