From the yard of the cottage, the opportunity to go straight into the woods in the winter with snowshoes, a forest trail on foot, or a kick sled. The name of the cottage is"Palokero". It's named after a nearby fell.

An electrified, clean cottage by the river Ounas, next to the village of Raattama (2 miles). Ca.25m2 + loft, spreadable sofa, accommodates 3-4. For a quiet, self-sustaining traveller. Water must be carried from the river or from the neighbour's fresh-water well , drinking water to be boiled or brought along. Wooden sauna under the same roof, combustable toilet in the courtyard building. Great views to the river, glazed terrace. Beautiful trails of Pallas and Vuontis, fishing waters etc. nearby.

This unique home has its own modern style. The color scheme is calm, with natural materials in textiles and all things new. Despite its small size, the 30m2 cottage has everything you need: wi-fi, fireplace, electric sauna, laundry and dishwasher, oven, microwave, raclette; hair dryer, ironing facilities; hiking and snowshoes for two.

Miro's place was perfect to explore Lapland away from the center. It is right in nature and close to beautiful hiking areas. Miro and his family were very welcoming, my dog especially loved being able to run around in the yard. The space has everything needed for a short or long stay, and the wifi worked great for remote working. I definitely recommend to anyone!

The cottage is located in a quiet location and with good luck you can admire the Northern Lights in the yard! You can walk to the trails quickly and the nearest ski lift is a few minutes drive. The cottage is cozy and clean, very similar to the description. The bed was comfortable and a quiet environment for a good night's sleep.

A lovely old cottage renovated with good taste in a quiet location. The chickens were clucking in the yard and the owner was really nice. The evening sun shone beautifully inside and in the morning we went to the sauna. Really neat and all the amenities were found. I have to come again!
