The hotel is fantastic and it is a real treat to stay here for families and couples. Rooms are big and very very clean and well maintained. The staff are as good or better than a 5 star hotel. The food is delicious and fresh. You would be missing out if you don't stay here. Pawan the manager and his team including Banty, Raju and all the ladies thank you. You are amazing. Well done! Will definitely be back.

The Whispering Windows (Colina)

The poetically and beautifully named Whispering Windows is an off the beaten truck (quite big) hostel. Most of the rooms are occupied by (mostly) well behaved young students who attend a nearby private school run by the same owners. The building has a beautiful terrace, a nice common room (only for adult guests) and a small restaurant for students and also guests were you can eat a great dish of the day basically for a song. There is also a shared kitchen for guests. The rooms are very big and have a private bathroom. Everything is very clean. The owners are very kind and friendly and will treat you as family. The place is also quiet and there is always a gentle (sometimes quite strong actually) breeze flowing through the windows. This is an ideal place for travelers who want to see the real Himachal Pradesh and know the wonderful people living here.

The Silver Oak Homestay

I can’t recommend this property enough. It’s in the lap of nature surrounded with bird chirping and green lush mountains. We were a bit sceptical about the stay due to not having enough reviews on Airbnb but it turned to be a complete treasure. Room was so tidy and the toilet had plants too. We had a full jungle view from our window. We woke up watching that. It was so quiet and the ultimate place for solitude. The highlight was the food service by Kaku bhaiya who was so so kind throughout and provided us home like service. The other people in the property were so kind and we all ate together. The owner was so friendly and guided us throughout our stay. I say choose this place. Just a few key reminders - if you love busy areas with a lot of hotels , then this is not for you - it’s a 40 minute drive to Mall Road Shimla We had our own vehicle so pretty convenient for us. Thanks Madan uncle for the amazing stay.
