Family-friendly holiday rentals in Taipa

We loved our stay at Serena’s house, it had everything we needed and had a great yard for our 4 yr old to explore.

Was pleased to find check in time earlier than expected after a long drive. Super friendly Peter gave us the grand tour, to our delight all was above expectation.

Ryan was very friendly. He helped us in helping and asking care of all thing we had during our stay. Nice view on the backside deck. Jacuzzi added more beauty to our view

I loved staying here so much. So beautiful, right on the beach, can't ask for better than that. The view from the deck and inside was so nice. You can hear the waves inside the unit. The cable bay store is very close. Such a lovely place in the far north. I would love to stay here again.

Beautiful, peaceful location. House was spotless and had everything you needed. Multiple outside zones to enjoy the nature and water views. Super private and only a 7 min drive to the heart of Russell.

Loved every minute of our stay. The scenery is captivating as the houses are nestled at the base of Orowhana, facing directly towards Te Kohuroa. The hot tub was a hit, we kayaked, made pizza, enjoyed the fruit trees and fire place. Hamish, te kaitiaki, was very accomodating and helpful. The beds are comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need. Also loved that every wharepaku had bidets! I could spend weeks, months or even years here haha. It has all the things you need for an incredibly rejuvenating glamping/retreat. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful bach, secluded (except for a cute weka in the garden) and with beautiful views over the bay. Kitchen well stocked and comfy beds. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous location with a fabulous view and a deck to enjoy it. A Four Square nearby and a few restaurants (an excellent Indian place in Kaeo). We had a fantastic stay over the long weekend

Was definitely a lovely property!... Very close to our destination...felt very homely and not cluttered at all. I highly recommend this air bnb for future accommodation.

Chris and Garth were kind, responsive and welcoming hosts. We booked short notice and they had the room ready early and even thought to make up the extra bed when they learnt I had a teen travelling with me. The space itself is lovely. It is bigger than it appears in the photos, and is extremely well equipped with entertainment, full sized furniture for just a couple or a small family, and the most beautiful gardens to relax in. The bnb is set well away from the house, so it feels private, and the garden setting makes everything feel so tranquil! Location is 10/10 and if you have a fur baby travelling with you, it will be well taken care of too! Ours loved exploring the gardens as well as the beautiful local walks along the river. We are excited to make a yearly trip back to this accomodation.

Three of us spent a relaxing long weekend here. Margaret and Lou were very welcoming to us, and to my friend's dog, who came also. Lou graciously gave my keen gardening friend a box of cuttings from plants she admired.We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it. We chose to walk to all cafes and restaurants, the steep driveway to the accommodation a small challenge which improved our fitness. Great coffee and food at The Third Wheel, lovely meal at Nikau. We enjoyed the short ferry ride to and from Russell and had a wonderful lunch at Hone's Garden. Thank you Margaret and Lou for your hospitality.

We loved our stay at Grants place. The house is on the most peaceful street with the beach and a sand dunes walk right next door. We loved watching the sunrise from our bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and we made delicious meals and ate on the deck with a view. Clean and spacious throughout. We had many things to see in the north and this was a great location to do so and the recommendations from Grant were great. What a gem location! Grant was great to deal with from beginning to end and the price can’t be beat. I highly recommend this lil slice of paradise to anyone coming to see the north or just anyone looking for a peaceful holiday.

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. We had such a great stay. So nice to walk straight onto the beach. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. All round a fantastic stay.

A modular bach with lots of separate rooms, older but has everything you need. Right across the road from the beach on a quiet street at Hihi. Easy care, extra hot in the sun, lots of comfort. Excellent communication from a great host.

We had a lovely stay – the house was perfect for our group, with plenty of space and a great layout. It’s well-equipped, beautifully located, and the views are stunning. Despite the wild weather, it was a relaxing place to unwind. We were lucky with sunshine on our last day and made the most of the lawn, trampoline, and pool. The house isn’t a show home and could use a refresh in places, but it’s comfortable, homely, and ideal for groups. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would absolutely stay again – I bet it's even better in sunny weather!

This home is awesome, so close to everything and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the pool heating wasn't playing ball but we were able to take advantage of the spa.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

Amazing views, exceptional place and Jeff is a great host. This was a very memorable relaxing holiday. We hope to visit this stunning place again sometime soon!!

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

Lani was very friendly and helpful. She made sure we were all informed about the property and amenities. 5 star ⭐ Host !!

We had a lovely comfortable stay at the Fish'more cottage. Inger and Claes were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is private, set away from the main house in amongst the orange trees. It has been very well planned out and beautifully renovated. One of the highlights was feeding the pigs.

I booked this accommodation for my colleagues, and it was perfect for their needs while working away from home. The communication with the hosts was excellent and made the booking process and any adjustments extremely smooth and easy. I would definitely book again in the future.
