Holiday rentals with a pool in Surgères

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very nice stay, we had a great time in the pool! The house is very well arranged, very clean, large closets for storage and in accordance with the photos. Super nice gas barbecue! We had a very good contact with Hervé's parents who live in the house next door and are very friendly. The house is very clean, well-equipped with even small gifts on arrival. If you come with young children, beware that the pool area is not protected (no barrier or other), it has a retractable hard cover that must be closed. Thanks a lot for a great weekend!

We had a lovely weekend at Dany's cottage. The charm is effective upon arrival, an old building tastefully renovated and all the comforts you need. Dany is an available, responsive and friendly host. We recommend her cottage to discover this beautiful region!

Excellent location: The accommodation is very clean and functional. Dominique is welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to the bedding of great comfort. Ideally located, the residence is very pleasant, Saint Martin en Ré is a charming village. I highly recommend it.

A very good stay at Brigitte's, who was super welcoming. The accommodation is easy to access and close to the center of La Flotte. It is very well equipped, clean and warm. Our stay was very nice. We didn't have to take the car because many things could be done easily on foot (shopping, walks, going to the ocean...) Our host was very approachable and trusted us, which made relationships easy. The region is very beautiful and there are many places to discover.

It was an excellent stay at Nicolas'! The residence is very pleasant, quiet, charming, well located to access the village of La Flotte on foot easily, close to the waterfront. We had a hot time and the apartment, shutters closed, remains cool. The pool is a great plus. The exchanges with Nicolas were very cordial. He is responsive, accommodating, and gives valuable local and practical information. The studio is well arranged, with nice decoration, good bedding, all the necessary dishes and the flowery terrace is ideal for having breakfast outdoors. ☀️ The table set on our arrival gives a touch of hospitality that we appreciated. We'll be happy to go back!

Just returned from a great stay, Christophe the key holder and owner was lovely and helpful with any questions we had and kindly dropped off some eggs that his chickens had laid which were very tasty. The house has a wealth of family history itself and the things displayed across the house show these off and the information in the house guide explain some of these items and the link to the family. It's a beautiful house and stays cool in the warm weather too (keep the shutters closed in the day to help this). The pool is beautiful and the house amenities catered for all our needs. It's also a great location to get to without a car as the train station is a short walk away and goes direct to Poitiers and La Rochelle. We had a lovely time and a really relaxing week 😊

ideally located the accommodation is convenient / functional, slightly far from the city center ( 400/500m) which allows you to enjoy everything on foot and by bike. " master " outbuilding is a real plus. the railway right behind the house is surprisingly not at all. We will regret the cleanliness of the accommodation upon arrival as well as the garbage cans of the previous occupants due to the off " season " pickup that is done during the week . if it was necessary to find a defect may be the lack of noise insulation up / down in the house .

Pleasant house, close to the ocean, quiet, very well equipped (dishes, games, mini chain, hooks to put things everywhere...). The three bedrooms upstairs are close to each other but well soundproofed. And then there's the pool!

We had a lovely sunny stay in your rental, we enjoyed the pool and terrace, the accommodation is very functional, it is well located not far from the coast and Palmyra, we will come back Jean-Paul and the whole family
