Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sturgeon Lake

Christine and Rebecca were amazing hosts!! The cottage was super clean, and had everything we needed. This cottage was also super fun for a big group, we played lots of volleyball, went out in the canoes, and did hot cold dips from the lake to the sauna. Amazing place, would totally go again :)

Jason had a beautiful home that we were grateful to spend our Christmas holidays at. When there was an issue with electronics that we needed help with, not only did he respond rapidly but also came in person to help rectify the issue. A beautiful home and a wonderful host. :)

It was another enjoyable stay. This is our second time staying at Micheal’s listing here in Norland. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities. Thanks again for the relaxing getaway :)

Nice home in a quiet and safe feeling neighbourhood. Easy to find and access. Big back yard for kids and dog (although not fully fenced, which was fine as we brought our own leash). We arrived from out of province (via flying) and were surprised to find the beds already made with the necessary linens (we had packed our own via suitcase as per the ad details). But we appreciated the kind gesture had we somehow failed to bring our own! The kitchen is updated (so different from pictures) but still has all the appliances and cooking items a family would need for their stay. Lots of stores (grocery, banks, restaurants, Canadian Tire etc) are within a 10 min drive or less, making “going into town” to grab stuff a breeze. Plus having access to a hot tub, sauna and BBQ are a very nice treat :) We had a very comfortable stay and appreciated Tamila’s prompt responses for any questions we had. Would happily stay again!

This was our third year staying at Paul’s beautiful spot on the river. As a group of seven seniors this spot is extremely suitable for our needs to be on one level. A perfect place for a larger group. Thank you Paul for letting us enjoy your clean, easily accessible home for our holidays. Hopefully see you next year.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Muskoka cabin. Great views of the lake and was really fun to go out on the canoe and kayaks. The cabin was cozy and nice with a great kitchen and awsome living room for hanging out and relaxing. Host was extremely responsive and nice. She provided helpful clear instructions and information. Would love to go back.

The photos don’t do this cottage justice! It is so lovely and homey, we loved spending our long weekend there!! The cottage’s kitchen is well equipped and there is even a desk and monitor upstairs which is a good set up for someone to work from the cottage. We would definitely come back!

Amazing cottage and host. All amenities are/were in perfect condition and the property looks just as it does in the photographs, if not better. There are flat lawns in the front and back for a game such as croquet. It is also about fifteen minutes away from Georgian Bay. I have bookmarked this cottage for future visits! 10/10!

Douglas's place was a nice cozy place to use while in town for the weekend. Bare bones but I was 100% fine with that as I was also going for an weekend escape and decompressing. I would rent again.

We had a great time and all facilities we needed to make the weekend getaway worth it. We could barbecue, use the fully equipped kitchen, and walk around in the serene surroundings of the cabin. It was picture perfect, fresh air - almost made me want to leave cities and settle in a place like that. Thom and Lisa were very responsive and made everything comfortable.

We stayed at Julie’s for the May long weekend. And we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was quaint, but modern and meticulously clean. And it had everything you could need, dry firewood both inside and outside, seating around a fire pit, we used the beautiful wood burning stove when the weather turned chilly. And the kayak down the river is incredibly quiet and tranquil .., just the sounds of wildlife. A gem of a spot. It was a steep drop from the stairs to the river, so not easy to get the boats in and out if you are not in great shape. We had no issues, but might be a problem if you are elderly. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. There are trails to hike around too and the grocery store and other amenities are close enough. If you have kids, the sodalite mine is perfect for rock hounding enthusiasts! We found so many treasures.

Our stay here was fantastic. The house is big with plenty of rooms for a big group. It was clean and orderly. There is a beautiful dock with a canoe, kayak and life jackets. Our host Fred was very kind and accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone looking a cottage getaway.

We had a great time with our families during the May long weekend. The location is very beautiful and a rare find.. The theme is well laid out and rooms are in excellent condition 👍🏼 Would definitely love to visit again.

This cottage was one of the best we have gone to! This cottage is a jewel on Boshkung Lake. We enjoyed the views, sitting on the dock and having dinner in the screened in deck. We hope to return again soon, thank you Bruce and family for a fantastic weekend!

We stayed here for an extended long weekend and had the best time. The place had everything you would need for the stay. Our dogs loved all the open space for running around and would go up and visit the alpacas throughout the day. Gisele and Joel were extremely friendly and welcoming in all aspects. Any questions we had they were quick to respond. We will definitely plan on visiting again in the future.

Natalia and Evgeney were great hosts. They were both very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Check-in was flexible and easy thanks to Evgeney, who did a great job at setting us up with our cabin. The cabin itself was exactly as advertised. We found it to be very clean. The view of Rice Lake from our cabin was great, and the area is really peaceful and quiet. Overall, we had a great time here! It was a perfect relaxing weekend.

Margaret seemed very nice, she left croissants in the kitchen for us to have in the morning. Overall a very cozy spot to stay and we had no issues. One thing I noticed is that there's an adjoining door that connects from her side of the building to ours and I'm not sure if it locks, maybe it does but I didn't see a lock option on my side. Anyway it still felt private and we definitely got what we paid for.

We had a great stay at Thomas' place. He met us at check in, showed us the building, parking and any details we needed to know. He was very responsive, provided early check in, and coordinated parking spots for both our vehicles. The place was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

This place was beautiful and homey! Honestly, the upper floor was much bigger than we expected and very clean. The bathrooms were all renovated and looked beautiful. The space was nice and kitchen was very pristine. The pool area was enjoyable and pond was nice to boat in. Would recommend this place for a nice family cottage trip :)

Nice stay in this one-bedroom unit in Richmond Hill. The location is great in Richmond Hill, with easy access to stores just a few minutes’ walk away. It was a comfortable and convenient stay, and I would recommend it to others visiting the area.

We had the most incredible weekend at Monique and Andy’s cottage in Muskoka, celebrating our parents' 40th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the perfect choice. The cottage itself was immaculate, spacious, and equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The variety of sleeping arrangements made it comfortable for all eight of us, and the multiple entertainment options, including a pool and games, kept us entertained throughout our stay. Monique and Andy went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. They left us a thoughtful welcome gift filled with delicious treats, and their responsiveness and helpfulness throughout our trip were unmatched. Their detailed pre-arrival email made planning effortless, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our time there. We will definitely be returning!
