Hortus House

Don't get fooled by the first appearance from the street! Hortus House is a unique place, located in an old house with a lot of stories to tell and a magnificent garden full of stone sculptures and trees. This is the lungs of our neighborhood! Located an easy 15 min stroll from the old center of Ljubljana, where you will find peace away from the crowds. Recently we refurbished part of our family house and turned it into a pleasant and comfortable place for up to 4 people, waiting just for you!

Easy walk or bicycle ride along the Ljubljanica river to city center. Home cookers can get everything in local supermarket to prepare your own meal.

Located in the old town Ljubljana, where all the landmarks are a couple of steps away. Despite being located in the pedestrian zone of the centre, the apartment is located in the atrium of a building, which means no noise from the street can be heard when you are ready to rest. It offers a kitchen, a large queen-size bed and a sofa. Bed sheets and towels are provided by the host. Note: Transport from and to airport can be provided for a very reasonable price. Tourist tax paid separately.

Beside the studio which I create from the former workshop, I provide free parking space. Studio is located just just 1,9km from Ljubljana Castle, 1km from Metelkova.Ljubljana Central Market is 1,7km from the house. It is in the quiet neighborhood. Right now they are building new neighborhood, so it can be a little bit noisy during the day. Hopefully they will end the most of the big work till summer. The nearest airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, 20km from the property.

This apartment is even nicer in real life than it is in the pictures! It’s beautiful, and a really lovely place to call home while exploring beautiful Ljubljana. I usually sleep poorly, but had my best sleep in years in the air conditioned master bedroom! We could very easily have stayed much longer. I would highly recommend this listing.

What a gem of a place! Absolutely gorgeous. Close to Ljubljana but totally out in nature. All the small details are taken care of, everything is spotlessly clean and you even get a wonderful breakfast and local treats. I'd love to come back some time, shame I only stayed one night!

Karmen was a perfect host, attentive to details, very friendly and we were treated just as if we were at home. The apartment is on the ground floor, so it is very accessible, and in front of it is the bus stop to easily reach the center. The house is cool in the evening, so it's perfect for the summer. The kitchen is super promoted, the bathroom shower is very large and everything was clean. Breakfast is that little extra and the Self check-in is very convenient. I would like to add that a tourist tax of approximately €3 per person per day is required. For our last-minute trip of a few days in Slovenia, it was perfect, also thanks to the private car parking.
