Had a two night stay at Ruth’s.fantastic quirky comfortable place.great host with excellent local knowledge.i can recommend the dog and partridge located opposite.

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and equipped with modern kitchenware and thoughtful touches. Lucy was very flexible regarding our early arrival time and talked us through our concerns about the hilly nature of the walk down to the river. Our neighbours and everyone in the village was friendly with tea rooms and pubs and shops all within walking distance. The 10 minute drive to Bakewell and larger supermarkets was easy. Parking was not always easy but we usually found a space and if not, found the Car Park available about 5 mins walk away for a suggested contribution. June 21-28 was Well Dressing week - same time of year every year - and we wish we had been aware of this when we booked. We loved our trips to nearby Eyam, Edale, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We had a very comfortable stay at Marks little cottage, I only wished we could have stayed longer. All the amenities you need on hand including bread, milk and cereals to help you get energized for a days exploring in the beautiful scenery that surrounds you.

Our stay @ The Mill was just perfect Debs is the most wonderful host who looked after our every need with plenty of banter as well 😆 The Mill itself is beautifully restored with so many original features both inside & out . I spent the first night just walking around in wonder Then the outside … just wow 🤩 Our own lake , friendly llamas 🦙, pigs , chickens laying you fresh eggs for brekkie … the list just goes on & on I personally loved sleeping at night with the doors open listening to all the animals Needless to say we will be returning as soon as we’re back in the UK When people say this is a hidden gem 💎 believe me The Mill surpasses all The Mill is a treasure trove 💚

Absolutely beautiful place, everyone was impressed when they arrived! Beds were lovely and comfortable, bathrooms and showers were great, and we loved the hot tub! There was so much space and such beautiful surroundings. Really quick drive to the closest train station too, so was nice and easy to pick people up as they arrived. And the hosts were super helpful. Can't recommend enough!

What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. We stayed an extra week at this lovely place due to its relaxing location. The barn stayed beautifully cool in the very hot weather which was an added bonus. Our little dog loved the enclosed garden and the kitchen has everything you need. We particularly liked the spacious bathroom! Michelle made our stay easy and was very responsive. A fantastic stay at Quince Cottage. It was spotlessly clean with luxurious bedding and a lovely comfy bed. In a great location and has everything you might need (and more) for your visit. Rebecca was really helpful and gave some great recommendations. 5 stars - highly recommended!

Beautiful caravan in a stunning location Ashbourne heights caravan park is lovely, very well maintained. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable and cosy, decking with chairs is a great addition especially with the weather we had. Walking from the door step, we did Thor’s cave circular and stepping stones, tissington trail is just off the site entrance so no need to drive anywhere. Honestly one of the best family weekends we have had will be booking again in the future ❤️

We had a great stay in Michelle and Marks place. A good location to get out on our bikes on the Tissington Trail with the kids. The kids also enjoyed the freedom of using the park area with other kids and plenty of places to walk the dog. A trip out to Carsington Water and Bakewell completed the stay. Fantastic responsive host. .

We had a wonderful weekend here. Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous, tranquil setting with superb hosts, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of everything from a welcome bottle of wine and sweet treats to robes, sliders and even treats for the dog! Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, lovely pool and hot tub. We will definitely return. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation in quiet and peaceful surroundings this is the place for you.

We had a wonderful stay at The Shippen. The property was perfectly located for a peaceful few days away from busy life but had amenities close by. We had access to the great pool and a private hot tub that the kids loved. I would definitely recommend The Shippen for families looking for a getaway that has lovely surroundings and accommodation that has everything you need, including games and activities for entertainment. Thank you Sara and Phil for having us, we loved our stay.

Absolutely superb break away in Lokis Lodge. Stunning interior and truly home from home . Location is also immaculate and great for your fur babies country walks. We had a very restful break and will be returning to explore what we hadn’t got time to see ! Sarah is an amazing host xxx

We had a lovely 2 night family break at Peacock Barn over October half term. It's a beautiful property with fantastic amenities and perfectly located for exploring the many sites and activities the area has to offer. The swimming pool and games room provided the children with a space to play and have fun which was a key factor for choosing this property. The garden was great for our dog providing plenty of space to run around and secure, providing peace of mind. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy during the summer months. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for having us!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and there was plenty of space for all 8 of us (and our dog!). The area is stunning, very quiet with plenty of nice walks. The pool/games room area is shared with the other cottages, which wasn't made clear when booking. We thought it was part of our cottage, which we were slightly disappointed to find out this wasn't the case. However, overall we'd still consider staying here again!

The Chapel is stunning and beautifully decorated. So many different lovely spaces in the house, and all comfortable and inviting. We just wish we could have stayed longer. The pool is great too. A really special spot.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay and had a really great time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice home away from home and near main attractions and beautiful walks. The property was exactly as described and more. Throughout the whole booking and communication aspect Jo was very helpful and even allowed us a slightly earlier check in if we needed it. Upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of drink and some chocolates to celebrate a special occasion we had informed Jo of and she even stocked the fridge with milk for us and a special treat in the freezer. The property is around 10-15 minute drive to Alton Towers which was helpful and 25 minutes from Dovedale which we have always wanted to see. We had a really great stay and would recommend it to others and will definitely be back again on another trip to Alton Towers which

Amazing location for Alton Towers and cottage was great space and worked well for the family. Only niggle was a noise monitor that pinged us saying we were being too loud - we were a family group with a baby all in bed by 10:30pm and spent the evening playing board games- so hardly rock n roll and it was 8pm on a Saturday when we started getting alerts whilst playing board games - felt a bit like we couldn’t speak or laugh - maybe lower tolerance of the monitor or just do it later ?

Had a great stay at The Loft. Such a comfortable space and larger than I was expecting. Karen was a great host and I enjoyed the treats she left in the fridge for me on arrival! Great walks from the doorstep as well a lovely village pub. Although situated in a very quiet village it's easy to get out and about. Hopefully I'll be back again!

Second time of staying in this lovely cottage. The perfect weather allowed us to fully enjoy the brilliant garden. A short stroll into Hartington village and superb walks from the doorstep. We’ll be back!

The bunker is the perfect stay for a little holiday in the delightful Earl Sterndale. This little village is perfectly positioned for walkers like us looking to take their dog into the hills. it's also a short drive from Buxton and other neighbouring villages such as Youlgreave which is great too. Paul's accomodation is a lovely room, quite cute with its fairy lights and rustic cottage feel. It's exactly what we were looking for. check in was simple, the shower stayed hot and the addition of a ninja air fryer meant we could prepare food in there too. it's worth adding the room is perfect for summer as it's a lovely few degrees cooler in there which was really refreshing during the heatwave. Altogether a super stay in a beautiful location.

We've just returned from a very relaxing few days at the Hideaway. It's a lovely location with amazing views, sitting on the balcony of a morning just listeing to the birds, seeinf the frogs in the pond & a visit from the cat next door. Corrie was on hand if we had any questions and recommended some amazing walks and areas to visit. Our dog even had her own towel and bowls, all provided by Corrie.

We loved every second of our stay, the only disappointing thing was not being able to extend as it was booked! The perfect space with incredible views in a beautiful location so peaceful and calm. Exactly as described and lots of great recommendations to fill our time whilst we stayed. We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later!

We recently stayed here with friends and had a fantastic time! The location is ideal—peacefully set on the outskirts of some lovely villages and towns. The property was perfect for our group, and pet-friendly too, which was a real bonus. The house was spacious, with comfortable rooms and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking together really easy. We especially enjoyed the extras—the arcade machine was a hit, the jacuzzi was a real treat, and the dart board kept us entertained for hours! Everything we needed was provided—nothing was missing, which made the stay even more relaxing. One thing to note is that there was some nearby building work (not part of the Airbnb) which caused a bit of daytime noise, but it didn’t majorly impact our stay. Also, the WiFi signal was quite weak—normally not a big issue, but we needed it for our baby monitor and couldn’t get it to connect reliably. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily return.
