WOW. Absolutely loved my stay! Definitely a rustic cabin but it brought to the charm of it all. Incredible views from the cabin and the hot tub experience was out of this world and so special. One of the most unforgettable nights in NZ so far. The whole experience was amazing, definitely recommend if you’re happy with rustic ♥️

The perfect place to get into the Doubtful sound and be connected with nature. i love the littlw paths to esch cabin, the bird names, and the BATHS!!! A lot of work this family has put into the building and maintenance of this place. Super happy. We could see the hill from the boat to doubtful sound- So amazing

Very peaceful place and had a beautiful stargazing experience! Jaclyn and Warren are very nice and warm hearted. Would recommend to stay at this escape-from-crowd cabin

A lovely space to base ourselves as we explored Clyde, Alexandra and Cromwell. Maria was a great host and made us feel welcome and comfortable, including turning on heat pump and electric blankets before our late night arrival.

This spot is totally stunning, it was hard to leave. The cabins are the perfect amount of comfort and rustic. Jaclyn and Warren went above and beyond for us when we realized (on the day) we had booked the wrong weekend - they still fit us in and allowed for a very late check-in no fuss. The bath experience was divine - you can't get much better than sitting in a steaming hot bath while sipping beer and star gazing with epic mountain backdrops. We will definitely be back!

Amazing location not too far out of town but far enough to be very peaceful. The carriage is super cozy and the fire works very well! Renee is a great host and is very responsive and was very understanding when we arrived a lot later than we anticipated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Nice, cozy and warm. I did not communicate with Sarah after I booked but she did and gave very clear instructions. Spa was great under the moon and stars on a windless still night. Loved the fluffy pillow and duvet covers. Room was clean and bathroom great. Tea and coffee making facilities and milk in the fridge, microwave also provided. A small table and chair available in the room but there was also outdoor furniture for those nice evenings. Overall AAA+++. No cleaning fee so I took extra care to leave it as tidy and clean as I could. Thanks Sarah and highly recommended. Will come again.

A little expensive (we actually thought the price was NZ but realized later in was USD, so we paid more than we thought). A few minor things (considering the price) was that there were no napkins (cloth or paper), could have used a small table on the lanai, no microwave and not french press. However, the fridge was well stocked with breakfast items, nice wines, lots of fruit. everything was really clean. Host also allowed us a later check out.

My partner and I had an incredible stay. The place was warm, cosy and smelt amazing upon arrival. We could not have been happier with it.

Comfortable

Loanne was extremely helpful in every way possible. She was very hands on, even supplying a cooker (to cook a trout) and pliers (to adjust a fish hook) I stayed here 45 years ago, lots of new cabins but I think the communal kitchen area was very similar. Beware the drive potholes, but all in all a great stop over and convenient for The Town & Country Club just over the railway line.

Christine's cute cottage was perfect for our two-night stay. Easy access to the village centre and a prime location to all the walking and biking valleys. The place had everything we needed. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Wins place is clean and quiet with a stunning view of the lake. Perfect place to stay if you drive. The location is also close to a bus stop that takes 10-15 min to the centre of the city.

We had a ball. Kerri was great with instructions and was on hand immediately to help. We didn’t meet her legend husband he was over at the pub… lad! We heard them singing in the pub and wanted to join but it was so dark we were wondering if we would be okay getting there. We woke up early for sunrise and it was so refreshing to go out and see the beauty surrounding the cabin shack lodge. We would return and we recommend and next time we’ll check out the holy pub.

Lovely place, perfect location close to the town 10 minute walk and a supermarket 5 mins down the road. Everything we needed and the hot tub was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend staying here.

A beautiful cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners kindly opened up before we arrived as it was raining. The place is spacious with a lovely outlook, short walk to the pub, shop and townhall. Thank you, you deserve 10/10.

Kirsten was a top-notch host! She went out of her way to locate a shop which offered an activity we were looking to do, always responded to my messages promptly and proactively offered help and checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable without being intrusive. The unit is pristine, completely furnished with all the features one could want and is easily accessible from the road and within the property. It was a memorable stay and one of the highlights of our visit to New Zealand.

We had a fantastic two night stay. The accomodation is fabulous with lots of personal touches and the garden and surrounding area absolutely stunning. We envy other guests that managed to stay for much longer. We would love to stay again. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Great location close to town, walkable and an easy drive, great garden with trampoline and cubby house for our little one. The second room has amazing children’s books and toys. Highly recommend , great feel to the space with outlook to the mountain

Awesome stay! Dave was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with right from the start. He accommodated our late check in due to road conditions and made sure we had everything we needed- as well as offering advice on things to do and see in the area. Great cabin, super cute & cosy just like the photos. Would definitely go back again and couldn’t recommend Dave & the cabin stay more highly! 10/10! ⭐️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our little cabin in Wanaka. Location was great , just a few min drive outside the town. The cabin was lovely , warm and cosy. I would definitely recommend Scotty’s place to anyone visiting Wanaka.
