Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Somerset County

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

Beautiful home right in wyman lake. Nice place is a really nice area. Check in was super easy and Amber was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you amber!

We stayed for two months while I was on a temporary work assignment in the area. Check-in was simple, any questions were quickly answered. We had no problems with anything during our stay; everything was exactly as anticipated from the description. We immediately loved the view of the lake from the front windows! The kitchen was perfect, and we felt right at home. I was working long shifts, and a quiet, peaceful location was important for me to get enough sleep--this place provided it exactly. We were able to watch the lake go from ice covered when we arrived to open water when we left. We saw robins and loons arrive, and heard them calling as they settled into their summer homes. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who enjoys a quiet lake setting.

This is the 6th year in a row we have stayed here. we live 2 hours away but Greenville has always been our happy place. this cabin has been our tradition. there was way more than we expected. we had no idea there was a arcade game and darts in the game room or corn hole and ping pong out on the new rock slabs. the fire pit was renovated and its beautiful. we made smores. life is about spending time with family and making memories with your kids. woods all around is absolutely the perfect place to do that.

This was the second consecutive year we rented from Karen, like the first year the place was immaculate and set in such a serene area. The trails on site are always a favorite!

This is one of the most beautiful Airbnb‘s. I have ever stayed at. The location is stunning. A river runs right behind the house and you can listen to it as you fall asleep. The sun comes in the afternoon and lights up everything. Tami is a great host Who will make everything right. The house is stocked better than pretty much any house I’ve ever rented. Highly recommend this home. It is a treasure.

Beautiful property! We had a group stay for spring skiing. The house was more than spacious enough for us all. Was an easy ride to Sugarloaf. We had a fire outside and enjoyed the hot tub. A couple of friends actually took a plunge in the freezing cold river. Who could resist with it right in the backyard! Will absolutely be back again! Great host and house

Really enjoyed our stay at this rental. Easy parking. Quiet area. Clean home. No complaints to be had.

I stayed there for two weeks and I would stay again. It was very quiet which is my number one need. Two it was clean. Three nice kitchen with all the appliances you need. Four Jeanmarie answered all questions quickly and clearly. Five lots of room in the house. Six it was nice and warm in the winter weather.

Lovely apartment! Comfortable and clean. The extra half bath downstairs was a huge plus. The area is a normal quiet neighborhood, and there are restaurants and convenience stores relatively nearby. The spiral staircase is cute, but it is very narrow - not an issue for us, but could be challenging for guests with mobility issues or children! Overall, great stay and would definitely book here again when we’re in the area.

Kristina was great to work with. She was very responsive to my questions. The bed was AMAZING!

Robert’s place is amazing! If you’re looking for a place to feel at home, while away from home, then this is it! My brother & I are here for work & have stayed several different places so far we enjoyed staying with Robert so much, that we booked for another month.

Andy’s place was perfect! I stayed here for the Sugarloaf marathon - you can’t find a closer spot to the start line! Beautiful area with tons of trails right on the property. Quiet, peaceful, and very private. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Lyn and Bruce are wonderful people..this is our 5th stay with them! Always helpful and an all around great hosts! Place is always clean, the view is beyond words of beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice! God willing, we will go back again next year, same time. same place!

Great stay at Bucks Den! I have an older doggie so Bucks Den was great with only 3 steps to get into Alicia's home. Alicia also provided a complete doggie basket with dog blankets, towels, doggie water & food bowls and poop bags - so that gets 5 stars right there! We came to ski, and Bucks Den was a perfect, private spot close to Sugarloaf on a quiet street instead of having to stay on the busy mountain. Her street also felt very safe - great for walking dogs! - and there's a restaurant directly across the street, quite a nice amenity. The home itself was really clean, very comfortable, warm, and Alicia provided gourmet coffee and the most towels I've ever seen in an Airbnb!

Our cabin was like an oasis. We are in the woods all day sometimes, and this was like coming home to a small piece of heaven. The surroundings were quiet and relaxing, yet our host was available without being pushy. Near the end of our 2-day stay, Greg and Christina shared some of their dream with us and their goal to take good care of their guests. True to their word, they were on the ball because less than 5 minutes after we departed, they discovered my watch, which I had left under the pillow. It was a quick turnaround for me, but even more, a reflection of their diligence and care for all of us. Well done!

Very happy with our stay at Rob and Jessie’s cabin. We were there to bird hunt, and the ability to have dogs was definitely a need for us. Location was great, plenty of space, good internet access, and full kitchen and bathroom. Communication was great too. Would stay there again for sure!

Great spot near Mt blue pond. Has mostly everything you need at the shack. I would have packed lighter if I knew it was fully stocked. But it’s good to know for next time. There are neighbors on one side divided by a huge fence. Shack was cozy, clean and peaceful. It was so nice of Alexandra to let us use the kayak! It was awesome! Kids had a blast!

We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

A lovely spot for a weekend getaway in nature! Denise was super nice and the cabin was quiet, peaceful, rustic, and surrounded by trees. Excellent price for the area and her restaurant just up the road had delish food, I highly recommend checking it out. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Colby’s cabin was everything I expected and more. The location was fantastic so private and quiet, even during Memorial Day weekend I didn’t see or hear anyone. The cabin is two miles up a dirt road, nestled into the woods on the side of a hill it’s the perfect weekend hideaway. My camping car (2012 crv, 250k miles) made it up no problem in May even with heavy rain the day before. The cabin has everything you could need just pack food and clothes. This could easily be more rustic but a lot of work was put into the little touches that take this place to the next level like wood stove, well pump, refrigerator and stove, and clean comfortable furniture. Lots to do in the area check out mt blue, tumbledown and Webb lake. Can’t wait to come back soon!

An incredibly cozy cabin, my wife and I needed a decompression weekend and Brian was able to accommodate on super short notice. Very well stocked cabin and we felt right at home. Had a fantastic weekend and if the opportunity arose would consider this property again.
