It was a comfortable stay. The place is very close to the airport, but a bit far from the city center. However, they do arrange taxi for me very efficiently to go around. The room is very spacious, with a full kitchen. Zima was thoughtful to put some dry food there. I also really appreciate the laundry service. It’s a convenient place for a short stay.

Two of our team stayed in Connie’s two adjacent units for three weeks while working at the Pacific Games. They loved it as a base - the views, peaceful surroundings, attentive housekeeping and well equipped units. We would not hesitate to book again.

Village home stay

Natascha went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of by her extended family in Munda. Merle, Delia, Maxcine, and Betina were incredibly hospitable! By the end of our stay, we felt like we were saying goodbye to family. The Aqorau family is special and I cannot say enough good things about them. Natascha also helped arrange for us to get picked up by Solomon. He was so kind and helpful! If you can arrange it, I highly recommend having him drive you around Munda and you’ll definitely want to visit Barney’s WWII museum.

Serviced apartment, exclusive space for you, stay with your family at Grace Hotel

At first, I was worried because there were no reviews when I made the reservation, but it is undoubtedly the most modern hotel in Honiara. I was upgraded to a better room, which was very clean, and the spacious bathroom made it extremely convenient for solo use. With the help of the receptionist, I was able to relax comfortably while enjoying the view of palm trees, a sports field, and the ocean, and I felt that the surrounding area was safe. The reception manager was highly proficient in English, Chinese, and Korean, which made my stay much more convenient and helpful. If I visit the Solomon Islands again, I will definitely book this place again!

Lagoon Haus.

this is an absolutely beautiful village. so so many kids who are so so friendly, their smiles are like the sun breaking through the clouds. if you can bring extra snorkel gear to give them, or the local guys who also use it to fish, please do!! everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming on the whole island. there is not a system for tours/tourism -luckily we made friends with some people in town who were able to show us around to some places- make sure you bring extra money if you also want to go this route. no one asked for tips but we wanted to give them something for their time. if your interested in wood carvings almost everyone in town is an artist, creating masterful magical pieces. make sure you have extra space in your suitcase for that. for food- we were on a backpackers budget, couldn’t afford the fully catered option, just 2 days. we were able to bring food with us from honiara, very difficult to carry all the stuff on the ferry. if you can afford it, do catering.

Noguna island lodge, Kia village, isabel, SI

Absolute Gem. Off the grid experience where time literally stood still for our stay & was able to immerse ourselves in an environment that was so relaxing away from the hustle & bustle of life. Hospitality was top rate with our every need accommodated (if possible) and ate like a king for 3 meals a day & more crayfish than I have had in a lifetime. Bungalow is as per the pictures - stepping straight off our back step into natures aquarium & when not snorkelling or swimming - spending hours just mesmerised by its beauty. Perfect for individuals that don’t need the 5 star hotel or can’t get by without being on their phones but if your after an authentic island experience & become part of the Noguna family- go for it, so glad we did…
