House holiday rentals in Smallingerland

We were there in June, four of us – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes away by car.

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

With a group of friends of 5 people, we stayed three nights in this AirBnB on a small-scale park. There were few other guests in the park, so we could enjoy the nice jacuzzi and garden. Unfortunately, for the (unheated) pool, the temperature outside was just a bit too cold. Inside is a lot of space, the cottage is much larger in terms of seating space than for 5-6 people. The beds (a total of 6 sleeping places) were excellent. With two refrigerators, six burners (gas stove) and a spacious dishwasher, the kitchen was also great, although unfortunately there was no towel or tea towel available to dry the hands and small dishes. It is also nice that there are two toilets (one of which is separate), but the door to the bathroom with toilet cannot be locked and does not close completely. Arrival is fine, with some information from the host in advance via the app and on site instructions to get to the right cottage at the small bungalow park. All in all a great stay in a nice area!

Wonderful accommodation to relax and unwind. No neighbors or surroundings and vice versa. Despite that, the supermarkets are a 2-minute drive away so the location is very nice! Host is super helpful and can be reached immediately if anything comes up. We would definitely come back here!

Nice cottage, very clean and complete. Lots to do in the area, well worth it. Host was very helpful and quick to respond if we had a question.

The location and the house certainly contributed to the beautiful memories we made during our annual getaway with sisters, mother, brother and aunt!

Everything super - we'll be back

The place is nice and quiet and you can relax well. There is everything in the ad and Lena is a very friendly host. We didn't find the reception at first because we didn't know we had to go to the normal camp reception and got lost first, but understood in retrospect. Parking is great and the place is also nice. Of course, there are a few small things not 100% clean and unfortunately there are no fly screens at the windows, so everything can crawl in and fly, but that is really complaining at a high standard. We had a nice three days there and will definitely be back!

Communication was great and the dog was even thought of the welcome (there was a little surprise bag)! The house assigned to us was the 625, which was very well located to be able to easily take the sailboat through the hallway at the very back. The house itself was quite okay, but it could have been cleaner overall (kitchen fronts not quite clean and with many fingerprints, dust under the bed e.g. when the beds are pushed together, dust on the shelf where the clothes are stored) overall, we and the dog had a nice weekend

Very clean cozy chalet on quiet, moderately visited campsite. The area is wonderful for long dog walks on idyllic canals. Uncomplicated, you can rent a boat and navigate the canals. Two locations are within walking distance. The wonderful nature is very relaxing. We will be happy to come back!
