Gorge Poolside Hideaway w/ hot tub and huge deck

We had a large family group attending a wedding in Hood River and Bill and Michelle's place was perfect. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out and at the same time had a comfortable place to congregate. The kitchen was stocked with every type of cookware you could possibly want! And it was really nice to arrive and have a bottle of wine waiting along with cheese and crackers and food for breakfast, too. We loved the large table where we could all easily fit for a family meal. We had perfect weather which meant we got to use the pool and jacuzzi every day we were there - a real treat! The location of the house is quite private and the view of the river is amazing. We especially loved sitting out on the deck to watch the kite surfers (bring binoculars for better viewing!) The streets around the house were quiet which meant we could go out walking and not worry about heavy traffic. All in all, a perfect place for a large group! Highly recommend!

Jon is a friendly and accommodating host that is easy to talk to. He offered great local recommendations for outdoor recreation and went so far as offering me a free night for an extended stay (Thanks, Jon!). The surroundings are beautiful and along the Columbia River. I highly recommend Jon's place. Good value for money!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house sits on 1.5 acres with a chicken coop and hens that lay . Feel free to help yourself to fresh eggs.The property sits on a very peaceful dead-end road and the only people on the road are us and a farm, who are relatively quiet and not bothersome. As far as scenery goes, the drive to the property is absolutely gorgeous and there is plenty of nearby outdoor activities to take advantage of while staying In the gorge .

The Honeymoon Suite

Private attached bath finished in Italian Marble with a 2 person hot tub with 45 jets. The shower is large enough for 2 and has 3 shower heads. The bedroom furniture was all handmade by artisans in Bothell, Washington. The mattress, sheets and duvet covers are all high quality. There is a dust mite cover on the mattress as well and all pillows have protectors on them too. The floor is bamboo. There is a smart TV with netflix and local TV channels. There is a garment steamer too.

It sits in a secluded area of the camp near Lily Pad and Little Dipper and shares the compost toilet and rainwater shower with the other trailers in the camp. 5/5 Stars! We had an absolute wonderful weekend in Hood River thanks to our fantastic host David! He was super friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The breakfast provided each morning was AMAZING - a perfect way to start the day. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to all the charms Hood River has to offer. But what really made our stay special was the warm hospitality - including from the friendly dog, who became fast friends with our 2-year-old daughter! Communication with David was seamless, and he was always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hood River, especially families with young children. Thank you again to our fantastic host for making our stay so special!
