We have a seasonal garden with herbs and apples amongst a lovely outdoor private patio.

The Phinn-alley Guesthouse is in the Whittier heights neighborhood, b/w Phinney Ridge and Ballard. It is a perfect accommodation for a comfortable modern PNW - neighborhood retreat. This wood filled guesthouse has a hand crafted modern feel. Newly built, with simple high quality finishes inside and out, it has a feel of understated elegance. The shared stone patio separates the guesthouse from our home and garden, and is a lovely spot for morning coffee or happy hour cocktails.

This home is a separate dwelling with it's own driveway and private entrance located on our property. The short walk to the beach is about 5 minutes where you can have a beach fire, build a fort or simply relax and enjoy the views of the shipping lanes, Mt. Rainer, herons, eagles, orcas and our neighborhood sea lions.

Orcas Island Sunset Retreat

Relax on Orcas Island in this quiet and peaceful guesthouse high up on Buck Mountain. Enjoy gorgeous views and spectacular sunsets, south to Olympic Mtns and west to Vancouver Is. This 900 sq ft guesthouse has a rustic elegance and is comfortably furnished. Ten foot high ceilings add to the grand and spacious feeling of the guesthouse. Hand waxed pine plank floors and dark woodwork give a lustrous sense and air of old and timeless beauty.

We built the Tiny Guest House for friends and family and love sharing the space with people traveling to Bellingham. The tiny house is within walking distance of both WWU (1.0 mile) and downtown (0.8 miles). The Guest House is quite small (200sf); it has a queen bed in the loft and a full sized futon on the main floor. And while it has NO kitchen, we do offer a microwave, mini fridge, and keurig coffee, tea and cocoa machine.
