Holiday rentals in Sitanos

We were personally and very warmly welcomed by the two hosts. As a welcome gift, there were a few delicacies, which we were very happy about. The apartment is just great! Sparkling clean - cozy - beautiful - fantastic views - fantastic terraces. It is equipped with everything you need for a stay. On colder days it can also be heated, which was very convenient. We could have endured it a few more days here. In the small village there is a mini market (for basic supplies) with a small cafe and a tavern. We would book the apartment again immediately if we are back in the area. A rental car is helpful for exploring the surrounding area well.

Iosef is a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome right from the very start. His traditional Cretan home, that he has lovingly restored is truly magical. The views overlooking Sitia are absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded by wild flowers, olive groves and not forgetting overlooking the turquoise waters of the Agean sea. Anyone who wants to Immerse themselves in nature, Cretan culture, flower scented clean air and perfect stillness. Then Iosef's beautiful home is for you. Iosef thank you so much for your kind hospitality, we enjoyed every single moment, especially the local honey!! We will definitely be back!!

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were able to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great accommodation. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep ascent to the mountain is no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. The little house is lovingly decorated. Perfect for 2 persons. Since the weather was very good, we were always on the covered terrace during the day. Nearby, 10 minutes' walk away, there are some restaurants that offer very good Greek cuisine. We stayed 5 nights in Kato Zakros and felt very comfortable. Shopping is only available in Zakros, 7 km away. Our conclusion: highly recommended.

We stayed end of April for over two weeks and absolutely loved our stay. Our welcome to Mandarini house by Venetia and Michalis was so thoughtful and considerate… many kind touches - homemade Easter treats, jam etc and enough in the fridge and cupboards to tide us over for a few days. The house is a fantastic base to explore Eastern Crete. It is comfortable, homely, practical, and the village is lovely and friendly. We had daily hikes, often from the village, there’s lots to see and do. We highly recommend Mandarini and we’re blown away by the pristine beauty of this special part of Crete 😎😎

We had an exceptional time at Maria's. The house is beautiful, perched in a small preserved hamlet. Everything is perfect, nothing is missing for you to be comfortable and especially the decoration is splendid. The kitchen equipment, the quality of the linen: everything is tasteful and appreciable. We were welcomed like royalty, the fridge was full, it was incredible. In addition, we shared several meals with Elsa, Adonis, her husband and locals. These were moments of great friendship, where we were able to discuss Greek culture and music. Don't miss this place, it's an unforgettable experience. Once again, Greek hospitality takes on its full meaning.

Very beautiful, large traditional Greek house. And an extraordinary garden with breathtaking views. With small hammock rest areas, sun loungers. Beautiful outdoor dining area. And a very warm and attentive family welcome.

I have only good things to say about this home, I was extremely happy with my stay here. The space is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully created. The hosts are warm and provided incredible Cretan hospitality. I felt really relaxed and welcomed through the whole stay. The village is something special with a kind of character and old world charm that makes this island a treasure. The surrounding areas are breathtaking and I believe the beaches nearby might be some of the best on the island. Maria was so generous sharing her suggestions of places to visit, always responsive and kind. Anna greeted me personally on arrival, gifting me amazing baked goods and some of the smoothest raki I’ve ever tasted. If you have the opportunity to stay here you absolutely should, it is the kind of place that you will always remember fondly. Thank you Anna and Maria!
