The villa was just as described. Great location, walkable to the beach and close to bars and restaurants yet still private. We were able to check in early and were met by Maria’s family and all the amenities were explained well. Maria checked in with us regularly and came to clean during our stay. We even locked ourselves out and Maria was very helpful in getting us back in. Check out was also very smooth and easy. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

My stay at the beach house in Pachia Ammos felt like stepping into a quiet dream. The house was just as shown in the pictures — and somehow even more beautiful, embraced by the serene rhythm of the sea and the gentle charm of a peaceful neighborhood. Each morning, I woke to the whisper of waves and a view so breathtaking it felt like time stood still. The warmth of the locals made the experience even richer, and our host Marilou was the soul of it all — gracious, generous, and sincerely kind. I left a part of my heart by the shore, and I know I’ll return someday

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

The place was spotless, clean, and tidy. Pamela welcomed us for our short stay in Heraklion. We were well settled there, about fifteen minutes by car from the city center and 10 minutes from the airport, which made it easier to organize the end of our stay.

Casa Riza was a five star home away from home. The house itself is beautifully situated in the mountains, with the most glorious views through huge (clean) glass picture windows ensuring you make the most of the crystal blue seas and cloudless skies every day. We found it to be the most stylish home with immaculately maintained amenities, flowers on the coffee table (changed halfway through our stay!) - and it was all exceptionally clean and welcoming. Decoratively it was mix of old and new, making it homely and perfectly functional for a family of four. The pool was cold - but that didn’t stop the kids using it several times a day. Our hosts were amazing - we had tonnes of helpful, local recommendations and a food shop done for us with everything we needed, plus treats like Easter eggs for the kids and local jams and honeys - all laid out when we arrived. If you’re planning a trip to Crete I highly recommend staying here, a visit to Milonas gorge and Tersa beach also 5 star! ♥️

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were able to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great accommodation. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep ascent to the mountain is no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. Kindest and sweetest hosts. Went out of their way to make us feel at home and were always readily available for questions. Location is perfect and close to all the best spots. Private rooftop pool is lovely. Huge thanks for letting us check out late as there was no booking till the following day. It made all the difference in the world to our long trip home!

Staying at Sunterra feels like being an honored guest at a Seaside Cretan Villa. My accommodation was lovely and private. Sofia left honey, treats and the best olive oil from her family estate. She checked on me often without being intrusive. I slept to the sounds of the Cretan Sea and the pool is world class. This is one of the best places to stay in the area. We spent wonderful and relaxing holidays in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully furnished, with high-quality furniture and it really lacks nothing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also organized the transfer from the airport and it worked out perfectly. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will gladly think back to the time and come back soon.

It was a very pleasant stay. Appartement was neat and everything was there that you need. The first day the appartement was a bit difficult to find, but Konstatinos reacted immediatly with the right location. He welcomed us and showed everything in the appartment. There was a possibility to get the appartment cleaned in the middle of our stay. That was very nice. The beach was 5 minute walk. A lot of restaurants and beachbars to choose from. Check-out was also very easy. In front of the building there is a free, large parking space, sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes before there was a free spot, but overall we had a spot most of the time. We highly recommend this appartment!! Thank you for this pleasant stay!

Everything was perfect, the host was very responsive to messages, the accommodation was very clean and complete, it was well located, we were close to everything. I recommend it 100%

We stayed 14 days in the old village of Sykologos and felt completely comfortable. We didn't miss anything, the decor is tasteful and high quality. Shortly after we arrived , Andreas greeted us kindly with fresh bread and pastries. He guided us through his house and showed us around and explained everything. There were delicious,local delicacies in the fridge. We've never had anything like this! We communicated with Andreas from time to time during our stay. He is very attentive and tries to make sure his guests don't miss anything. You have to be aware that you always need a car to get to the beautiful beaches and tavernas. But it's worth it! If you appreciate the peace ,the solitude and the still real Greece with its people and habits, this is the place to be! We will be back!

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

It was all perfect!! The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything is very, very clean and lovingly furnished. There's nothing missing! The balconies are great, I enjoyed lying on the lounger in the sun and looking at the trees. No one can look up at the balcony by the bedroom, you really have your peace here. Just a few minutes' walk and you are already in the lively old town. Nevertheless, you have your peace and quiet here. I was able to sleep well and the bed was very comfortable. You have everything you need here and I immediately felt very comfortable. The hosts are very pleasant and warm. I love Crete and especially Malia and can also recommend this accommodation without restriction. There is also parking is available right in front of the house. Price and performance is excellent!! Me and my family had a wonderful time at Maria’s. The private balcony was amazing. Maria was a wonderful host providing us with lots of snacks and was very communicative. This is a great stay for a relaxing holiday. We would definitely stay again!

The place was great just a few metres from the beach and within walking distance from everything. It was clean, tidy and well furnished and equipped. The only drawback of this location is that it is not always easy to find parking nearby. This is not an issue for couples but for a family with 2-3 little ones it might mean a great deal of carrying from and to the car.
