Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sicily

Wir kamen ein paar Stunden vor dem eigentlichen Check-in bereits an, aber das war gar kein Problem, Giovanni war super flexibel und gab uns einige hilfreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt. Der Whirlpool auf der Terrasse ist ein absolutes Highlight und zusammen mit dem hervorragenden Wein als Begrüßungsgeschenk war unser erster Abend bereits perfekt. Der Strand direkt vor der Tür ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt, feiner Sand, wenig los und glasklares Wasser sprechen für sich. Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit und bedanken uns ganz herzlich bei Giovanni für seine gastfreundliche und hilfsbereite Art.

Wow! From the moment we arrived Francesco and Cynthia made us feel welcome, at home and we left feeling like part of their family. The house is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful, private section with everything we needed - including a lovely outdoor shower, table and chairs. The private pool was perfect for a dip after our day trip to Palermo. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Mondello beach, and lots of bars and restaurants. They responded to every request immediately - even driving to the supermarket to buy us bottles of water! Cynthia even wrote a plan for us when visiting Palermo - which we used and worked perfectly. We’ll remember this holiday forever because we got engaged on the trip. But also because we met such wonderful people and stayed in such a beautiful home - thank you Francesco and Cynthia! As promised, we will definitely be back one day ❤️

Dario'nun evi şahane konumda, çok kullanışlı. Ama böyle merkezi bir evde kalıyorsanız gürültüyü göze almalısınız ve tabiki otopark için extra ücreti. Cefalu da kalacaksanız arabaya ihtiyaç da yok aslında. Ama biz başka yerlere de gitmeyi tercih ettiğimiz için araba da kiraladıl. Darion'nun dostluğu ve mütevaziliği çok hoşumuza gitti. Her konuda yardıma yetişti. Umarım ekimde tekrar görüşeceğiz sevgiler

Das Haus ist wunderschön auf einem kleinen Hügel gelegen. Der Garten ist mit unfassbar viel Liebe angelegt. Wir haben jede Sekunde dort genossen!! Margherita, ihr Partner und ihr Vater sind absolut herzliche Gastgeber und haben uns sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht. Besonderes Highlight der beheizbare Whirlpool mit Blick ins Tal Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!❤️

We stayed at Lampeduso for 3 nights and it definitely wasn’t long enough. It’s such a great Airbnb in a perfect location. Palermo is such an interesting city, with its mix of cultures and all its gritty charm. The palace was perfect. It rained for two of the days we were there, but because the villa was so fantastic, the weather didn’t affect us at all. The place is huge, with great amenities that made a big difference—washer and dryer for our soaked clothes, umbrellas ready to go, and plenty of space to enjoy a good card game. When the sun did come out, we spent early evenings on the patio next to the pool. Honestly, the villa alone makes us want to return to Palermo.

Gwendalina's place was exactly as pictured and very centrally located right next to the cathedral and the fish market. The terrace was a great addition. Gwendalina was also super proactive with check-in and was very responsive. Definitely recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem traumhaften Haus! Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei Alberto für die tolle Zeit in seinem Haus bedanken! Schon bei der Ankunft waren wir begeistert – die Bilder in der Anzeige entsprechen absolut der Realität. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, großzügig geschnitten und liegt in einer wunderbar ruhigen Gegend – perfekt, um abzuschalten und das echte Sizilien zu genießen. Wir waren mit unserer achtköpfigen Familie dort und hatten mehr als genug Platz. Jeder hatte seine Rückzugsmöglichkeit und trotzdem gab es viele schöne gemeinsame Bereiche – ob auf der Terrasse mit Ausblick, beim Essen im Freien oder im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer. Wichtig zu wissen: Das Haus ist nur mit einem Mietwagen erreichbar und die Auffahrt ist recht steil. Es braucht etwas Übung und ein bisschen Fahrgefühl – erfahrene Autofahrer schaffen das aber gut. Da tornarci ad occhi chiusi, uno dei Dammusi dell'isola con la vista migliore; la cucina le stanze gli arredi hanno davvero ogni cosa necessaria. L' host Maria è davvero servizievole e pronta. Non appena la spia arancione dell'acqua si è accesa Maria ha chiamato l'autobotte che in 48 ore è venuta a riempire; i letti sono comodi e c'è addirittura un materasso in più per ulteriori ospiti . Siamo stati molto soddisfatti non pensiamo di riuscire a trovare di meglio sull'isola.

Very cozy and nice apartment with a central location! It was within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and beaches. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant, and we felt like part of the local community. The hosts were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything. Caterina’s daughter also picked us up at the train station when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We had a great stay here in Castellammare del Golfo and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

There was a problem with the water in the apartment we had booked so Giuseppe had swapped us into one of his other apartments before arrival. It was beautiful and spacious, the decor was lovely. One of the nicest apartments we have stayed at in our Sicily trip. Licata itself is more of a working port, the location of the apartment is lovely, however it is not the most touristic of areas when you venture further out from the main part . Giuseppe sent us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and bars, and the harbor away from the commercial area is lovely.

Sono stato ospite da Marco e Giada , e devo dire che l'appartamento è splendido e la posizione eccezionale , sei davvero a 5 minuti dal centro della città , dalla zona dei bar e ristoranti e dalla movida , ma nello stesso tempo l'appartamento è in una zona tranquilla che ti permette di dormire bene senza rumori fastidiosi , l'appartamento è completo di tutto ed ho apprezzato i piccoli dettagli che fanno di un host un super host , ho amato quella scala che porta alla camera da letto che però potrebbe rappresentare un ostacolo per qualcuno ma che è di una bellezza disarmante , la casa è arredata con gusto , la cucina funzionale ed il bagno top , la veranda esterna da su un cortile chiuso ed essendo stato solo 3 giorni non ho avuto occasione di sfruttarla , ma si presta bene per cene e colazioni all'aperto , segnalo anche il terrazzo sul tetto che è in comune con gli altri condomini che ha una vista strepitosa , grazie a Giada e Marco per averci accolti nel loro mondo

Wunderschöne Villa im Olivenhain – Natur pur mit Charme. Wir (fam mit 2 kindern) hatten eine tolle Zeit an dieser traumhaft gelegenen Villa mitten im Grünen. Das traditionelle Steinhaus ist wunderbar in die Natur eingebettet – absolute Ruhe und Erholung garantiert. Außenbereich nsturbelassen. Der Innenbereich eher dunkel, was bei den Temperaturen aber sehr angenehm ist. Besonders positiv: Überall gibt es moderne, funktionierende Moskitonetze. Die Küche ist spärlich ausgestattet, dafür gibt es eine Waschmaschine, was sehr praktisch war. Alles war sauber, und der Innenraum hat angenehm gerochen. Der Pool war ein echtes Highlight – schöner und moderner als auf den Bildern, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Kommunikation lief ausschließlich über whats und Telefon (auf Englisch), was gut funktioniert hat. Mietauto ist auf jeden Fall erforderlich. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt, um den Westen Siziliens zu erkunden. Kleiner negativpunkt: kameras schränken Privatsphäre ein. Wir kommen sehgerne wieder.

Without question the best Airbnb property experience and owner communications I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. From long ago when I first booked followed by the month before the rental, Marco was responsive to the little things which made a good property great. Our family of three generations—68, 67, 43, 39, 4 were fully accommodated by Marco’s home. Our 4YO even learned to swim in the upper tier’s pool (1.4m deep w ladder). We had a wonderful meal prepared by Marco’s attorney sister Gaia our 4th night, and it exceeded even the great restaurants where we dined daily in Cefalù ( Pasta e Pasté, Lo Scoglio Ubriaco, Tinchité, and Oateria Bacchus in Sant’Ambrogio). Upon our arrival the kitchen was fully stocked with charcuterie, eggs, cheeses, olives, bread, beer, wine, and all manner of spices, seasonings, and butter. You’ll need to buy drinking water at Decó Supermercato but there was a lot in the villa to start. The driveway is steep so you’ll need to get used to it.

Le lieu est parfait pour se détendre dans la nature. Kelly nous a très bien accueillis ( merci pour la ricotta), les animaux sont tous adorables (Saskia ❤️) et la région magnifique! Merci pour ce séjour!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dem schönen Ferienhaus von Anna in Macari. Die Ferienwohnung ist top und alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist einmalig, um jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. Der Garten vor dem Haus gleicht einer Oase und alles ist sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Anna ist eine ausgesprochen nette und herzliche Gastgeberin, die uns das Gefühl gegeben hat, willkommen zu sein. Der Bootstrip (samt Baden und Schnorcheln), den sie uns empfohlen hat, war das absolute Highlight unseres Urlaubs. Toll ist auch, dass wir von Macari aus viele Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen konnten, wie Selinunte oder das schöne Städtchen Erice. Wir können den Aufenthalt in Annas Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen und bedanken und herzlich dafür!

The Mortilla AirBnB from Francesca and Lorenzo is a gem in mountains of Sicily. The small house we stayed in exceeded our expectations in many regards. It is truly beautiful and private, perfect if you're looking for rest both for body and soul. One of our highlights, besides the beautiful gardens and the amazing pool is the wonderful view you have from all of the property. The best of la Mortilla and of our stay though were the wonderful hosts Francesca and Lorenzo! Their welcoming and worm style of hosting ist something truly special and we spent some wonderful time together! We definitely recommend trying their orange wine and great food during a shared dinner. When we got in trouble with a broken tire Lorenzo was there immediately to help us solve the problem. That we felt taken care of is an understatement. We plan to come back soon and if we could give 7 Stars we would! ;)

The villa is great, and the garden and pool are huge and very attractive, and also well maintained. Paul is an excellent host, friendly and responsive. You definitely need a car here as there are no pavements on the road outside the gates and the traffic whizzes along it. The local town, Trecastagni, is nice, with bars, restaurants and shops of all sorts. Overall our stay was excellent. The only downside was a building site next door that was noisy and created fumes and dust during the week, but I guess that won't be forever. Already missing it, the morning swim especially, and of course the sight (and sound) of Etna. Highly recommended. Visit Taormina while you're there. And try the Etna DOC wines.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A stunning Sicilian escape The villa was beautiful and spacious, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The long journey up the mountain was absolutely worth it, the view over the valley, the sea, and the surrounding villages is simply breathtaking. The house was very clean and well-equipped with all the essentials. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This region is truly one of the most spectacular areas you can experience in Sicily, highly recommended!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft inmitten eines bewirtschafteten, üppig begrünten Grundstücks mit traumhaftem Blick in Richtung Ostküste. Alles war wie aufgrund der Bilder und Beschreibung erwartet, eher noch etwas hübscher. Sauberkeit top, Ruhe und Panorama fantastisch. Der Empfang super herzlich, Empfehlungen für Ausflüge sehr gut. Die Lage ist natürlich etwas abseits gelegen, per Auto durch schmale Gassen aber absolut OK zu erreichen. So etwas wie hier findet man halt nicht direkt im Ort. Insgesamt absolute Empfehlung!

We had a great time staying at the large spacious villa. A real nice view from the terrace on the pool and sea and garden! Very friendly and helpful host Guiseppe. I can really recommend this beautiful villa!

Magnifique logement avec une grande terrasse offrant une vue imprenable sur la mer et le petit port. Logement bien équipé avec des attentions à notre arrivée. Nous étions attendus, Concetto nous a accueilli et a été très réactif tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons à 100%!

This was an exceptional place! The host was very friendly, told us about the history of the place, and didn't mind placing an extra bed (we were 7, but on Airbnb it was mentioned that it's only for 6 people), which we are very grateful for. The building and surroundings are so beautiful we decided to cancel our planned small trips to the neighbouring cities and chill next to the pool! 10 out of 10! We will definitely come back 💛

Thank you Gabriella and Alfio our 9 day vacation was made even more special with your kind hospitality and beautiful location of you accommodation. The highlight of our visit was Alfio’s Etna tour and Gabriella’s picnic which was worth every penny and we were so privileged to see Etna showing off her awesome power. You will need a car to get around, we had a medium sized vehicle but wish I we had downsized to a more normal small car the street are ‘narrow’! The local produce was a really nice touch and Gabriella’s communication made everything really easy and reassuring.
