Wonderful stay! The host was very helpful and always replied in a promptly manner. The bedroom and common areas were spotless. We took advantage of the homemade dinner and breakfast offer. It was delicious! It is easy to go to Ine either via a short bus ride or a 20-25 minute walk. We really enjoyed this seaside stay!

Kominka Guest House Kurayoshi, a renovated 105-year-old traditional house

DenisRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A huge thanks for this wonderful stay ! The house was amazingly beautiful and the host was super generous ! Not only did he took us at the station and to the restaurant : he advised us on the hike we wanted to do and drove us to the starting point of our hike ! An amazing getaway in the countryside : a lot to discover around (Kurayoshi, Mount Mitoku, Tottori…) couldn’t recommend more !

An old house surrounded by nature and folk art in Iwami-cho, Tottori Prefecture, 20 minutes by bus from the sand dunes, a 1-minute walk from the pleasure boat boarding area, and seafood too

I have been in Japan for over 2 weeks and this stop in Iwami was without a doubt the highlight of my trip. Takao-San and Kayoko-San are so endearing that you will never want to leave! Takao so kindly picked us up from the train station and drove us wherever we needed to go in town throughout our so stay. He took the time to explain everything and made it easy for us to find our way around. Kayoko’s breakfast and yakisoba dinner will be in the best meals I’ve had throughout my time in Japan. If you have the luck of finding this gem on Airbnb then you shouldn’t even hesitate to come spend even 1 night. We enjoyed talking, laughing and learning more about our hosts. We’ll be back!

TANGO ALOHA TERRACE B&B SEA FRONT

I haven’t been to an such amazing place in a long time. Kazumasa and Hiroko are one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. The location is breathtaking which invited you to stay more than just a few days. I only stayed 2 nights and wished I had more time. Hiroko gave me some really nice recommendations where I should go and what to do. The breakfast was also super delicious and plenty. Mabulin the dog will welcome you with his playfulness and cheeky character. If I happen to be back in this area I definitely will stay with them again. Thank you

A 150-year-old house in a former shoemaker's house, 25 minutes by car from the sand dunes and 5 minutes from Urauchi IC Tottori Airport is about a 30-minute drive away.

We stayed for an event in Iwamicho! On the day of our arrival, they picked us up at Iwami Station, and we arrived at the accommodation right away. Makiko, a gentle, tea-care, was friendly, gave us a lot of hospitality, and the time we spent together was very dense and restful. We had a welcome dessert, tempura, and breakfast bagels (500 yen) for meals. Most of the things were made by Makiko-san, and it was really delicious no matter which I ate!!! There were three women in the bath, so they prepared a butterfly bath, which was very relaxing. The room was large enough to accommodate three people (number of rooms).Every room was well-maintained and a pleasant stay. I was able to have a special experience of a slow life in nature that I can't usually do on a daily basis. This time, it was a short stay, so there are many other things I want to do in this private lodging. The next time I visit, I want to bring a lot of friends and take a lot of time! Thank yal soo much this time!!

You can see the hot spring temple from the veranda! A guest house in Kinosaki Onsen! This inn is a 1-minute walk to the hot spring run by the owner.

Great little spot. We had a nice room with a balcony. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the location was close to several of the onsens. It's about a 15 min walk from the station. Good value.

I had a wonderful stay in this cozy, traditional accommodation. The hostess was incredibly friendly and was already waiting for me on the main street. The location of the place is great! The bus stop to Ine is only a few minutes' walk away. I would absolutely recommend it!

[Hot spring] 100% natural hot spring flowing with modern hot spring

We had a wonderful stay at Kanade's place. The place is right on the beach. The place is a small, tranquil fishing village. It is perfect for relaxing for a few days. The natural onions are great, even if they are a bit outdated. To the large Kotohikihama beach there is a 45-minute walk on the coast. The beach is really fantastic! Kanade gives great tips for the surrounding restaurants , all of which serve super fresh fish. Speaking of fish, the typical Japanese Ryokan breakfast is amazing! Served in a beautiful Japanese tatami room :) we had a great break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Thank you!
