Holiday rentals with a kayak in Shelby County

Looooved this place & Paige made this such an easy and welcoming experience. The house was extremely clean and had plenty of amenities there. Paige checked in a few times asking if we needed anything and made sure we were happy with the place. She was very sweet & responded very quickly! 1000% recommend :)

Emma’s View was delightful. From the open concept living area to the modern kitchen and bath, this home provided everything we needed for a cozy and relaxing getaway. Quiet mornings and evenings on the deck or dock overlooking the lake were perfect places to take in some fresh air and enjoy the wildlife. The home was well appointed and very clean which was greatly appreciated. Accessing the house was extremely easy, and Heath was very responsive to inquiries. If we have the need to be in the area again, we’ll certainly have this gem at the top of our list.

I love the cottage! I have stayed twice with my dog when traveling from Texas to the East coast. Great area – loved walking around the neighborhood, and Cahaba brewing is a great spot.

Solitude was fantastic. Stayed the weekend with 5 adults on a bike trip. Great scenery, peaceful and right on the lake. Bedrooms and bathrooms were beyond clean aswell as the rest of the house. Great stay for anyone looking to travel to Barber or Talladega or any of the surrounding areas. 10/10 all the way around.

This was our first AirBNB stay in over 10 years! It was GREAT! April was proactive in letting us know how to check in and was responsive when I texted with a couple of questions. It was like having a local friend to touch base with! The house is not new but it was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, fresh and updated. She provided clear communication in a binder for checkin and check out instructions. Local attractions and eateries. She also provided little touches that made you feel welcome, such as a note and goody basket welcoming us, little soaps in the bathroom, plenty of towels, laundry and dishwashing soap. All was a plus and much appreciated! Unfortunantely, we could not enjoy the kayaks as it had been raining and the creek was too high, but the instructions and expectations for their use were very clear. We will utilize them on our next trip! Thank you for making this part of our trip stress-free!

Sherri's place on Lay lake was very nice, matched pictures well. I didn't stay long enough to enjoy the kayaks, but did spend good quality time on the rear deck, which was excellent. Area was very quiet. My only dissapointment was that the recommended restaurant was closed, I believe due to a loss of power from storms. Home was outfitted with everything one would need, especially a larger group.

We had another great stay at Eagle’s Nest! The house had everything we needed, and the lake view is beautiful. We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor games, kayaks, and fire pit. Looking forward to next time!

Me and my family spent Thanksgiving here and it was amazing. We had a blast and this place is everything and more. We are already looking to book again. Host were very nice and they were very accommodating for all of our needs. Definitely 10 out of 10….HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place was exactly as described! It was a perfect couples getaway! Super quiet area and secluded. We were able to fish off the dock, enjoy a drink with a beautiful sunset, and enjoyed being cozy on the couch for movies at night. Pack bug spray! Mosquitoes love me and I should’ve thought about that more before sitting out all day without any spray on. It’s a very beautiful wooded area! We saw multiple cranes, caught brim and catfish off the dock, and saw three different bald eagles! It was perfect!
