Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sheffield Beach

Leslie's home was great. It was in a great location and Leslie was easy to get hold of when we had question. There were a couple of minor issues that were easily sorted out, like the location of the stove switch and the keys to one of the sliding doors. The only downside, had to do with the parking - there was something that dripped from the parking ceiling onto my windscreen and bonnet and I'm struggling to remove it.

The place was great, even better than the pictures. All the amenities listed were available and so much more. It’s a dream for young kids, because of the large pool and yard space to run around. The communication was great, all our questions were answered very quickly. The place was spotless and remained so for our entire stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend 10/10

Gorgeous home with great layout and in a beautiful secure estate. Susie and Lauren were incredible hosts, very responsive and helpful and will definitely stay at their gorgeous house again when visiting Ballito again.

Leigh’s home is wonderful, spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from the deck into the the forest was so serene and peaceful. Leigh was a perfect host. She responded promptly thought our booking. Location of the property was perfect, close to shops and lots to do in the area for families. Thuli, the housekeeper was such a help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Leigh’s and would definitely book again.

We had never stayed in an Airbnb property before and so had no idea what to expect. However, The Lilypad surpassed anything we could have imagined. The house itself was beautiful and much bigger than it seemed in the photos and Derrick and Margi are the perfect hosts. The house is spacious and very well equipped. Even the monkeys turned up to watch us eating lunch in the garden one day. It was like a wildlife documentary in reverse! We could not believe their generosity in taking our children to the airport at 5.30am after we left! If all Airbnb properties and hosts are all like this then we are hooked. Aleks is an awesome host, she thinks of all the small things that we will need, that's what made our stay great, we felt very much at home. The house has amazing ocean views and the sound of the waves was a beautiful background to our stay. A few steps from the beach, we had a wonderful time.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. Spectacular, from the location, the views, the beach access, space, and amenities, this place is heaven for those looking for a quiet, private breakaway to a pristine area just off the M4. Also close enough to Ballito for shopping. The house is perfect for families wanting to relax and enjoy the view, and really does have all you need. Debra was also an excellent host, very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our time at Debbies place. The house has everything you could possible need and really feels like home. The attention to detail and the little things like towels and sunscreen by the pool, blankets on the verandah for the cooler evenings etc really made our experience lovely 😊 as an added bonus, Rosemary, who helped to clean was awesome! My husband, myself and our dog Scruff will be back soon!

We had a great stay at Julies House. The house is gorgeous with lots to do. The kids (and adults) were kept busy with the pool table, table tennis , pool and play stations. We arrived to no electricity in Ballito - Julie was great with comunicating what the problems were and keeping us updated with the solar power battery percentage. She even went out of her way to bring us back up lights and charging devices. The complex is very pretty - very forest like. Getting in and out wasnt too bad. Karen was great with sending all relevant access codes before arrival. The complex is right across the road from shops and about a 2 min drive to the main Salt Rock beach. We'd love to visit Julies house again!

Desiree was an outstanding host! From the moment we booked she was incredibly responsive and friendly. She out of her way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. The accommodation exceeded our expectations—it was spotless, exactly as shown in the photos, and the perfect place to unwind. We had so much fun braaing, swimming and enjoying easy access to the beautiful beach. To top it all off, Desiree’s wonderful helper Busi, added an extra layer of warmth and hospitality to our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a truly memorable getaway!

we had the most amazing holiday, I have fallen in love with Umdloti. The beach water was lovely and warm, the weather was just perfect and everywhere was so easy to get to. We had a great relaxing family weekend away in this amazing space. Wish we could have stayed longer. The short walk directly onto the beach via an access controlled gate allowed us to enjoy the beach. The private pool was put to good use on returning from the beach to get away from the wind. The house is spacious with a great layout. Our host Elsie was great. We will definitely be back!

Spacious and clean apartment within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Jack is a friendly and responsive host and we had no issues during our stay.
