Beachfront holiday rentals in Shanzu

Wonderful and welcoming people that were so accommodating for a big group! The property is amazing and has its own private bar/restaurant and all of the servers were so friendly and amazing. What wonderful people!

We had a great stay at Miriam's place! The location was very convenient (Ubers always just minutes away and lots of restaurants available for food delivery through Glovo), and wonderful communication from both Miriam and Georgina. The place was clean and we had access to a cleaner each day to do some small cleaning and bedding changes. We only had two minor issues: 1. The listing states that there is private beach access, which is not really accurate. There is a back gate that leads to the water, but no beach, just a rocky area. This was a main reason for booking the place, so this was disappointing. 2. We were told by Georgina after we were already there that the pool is not suitable for swimming. This should also be updated in the listing. Would still recommend the place, and we enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant stay

this is the second time I have stayed here. this place seriously is the best place I've ever stayed at. if you looking for 5 star hotel. you won't get that here. but. the service. private salt water pool the location seriously right in the beach you can't beat. Hamisi is the absolute best. if you need anything. he is just a call away and will take care of you. this is absolutely the best place I have stayed around the world. the hospitality and location and view are to die for. again thank you to to everyone for always making sure I am taken care of. especially asninwas looking for a house to buy.

Beautiful two bedroom in a resort right on the beach with several restaurants nearby, and better value than booking directly through the hotel.

Our stay at Soha Abode’s residence in Nyali was everything and more of what we would have wished for. The apartment was big enough to accommodate my family of 10. The location was close to many attractions, notably the wild waters park, mamba village and others, just a short Tuktuk ride away. Grocery stores are nearby for all shopping needs. The apartment is airy, a short walk to the beach. The sunrises from our balcony were breathtaking. Every bedroom is has a full bathroom en-suite and a balcony. We were able to enjoy the sea breeze through the whole residence. Raz our host booked a chef at a fee for our meals. Chef Steve was truly a gift to our family. He spoiled us with his elaborate yet delicious meals. It was an unforgettable experience. Raz was very responsive and catered for all our needs. The apartment was clean with cleaning service and linen change every 2 days. It was very tastefully decorated. We truly enjoyed our 5 day stay and will stay again.

We had a really nice time in Mtwapa at Florence‘s apartment. The rooms are spacious and feature all you need for a relaxing stay! Florence and her team are super kind, helpful and available at all times :) They fore sure created a little oasis to relax and enjoy! I can only recommend Karibuni palace!

We had a nice stay, we enjoyed the view of ocean, beach, sunset n sunrise not to mention the Swahili tradition decor. It gave great ambiance n vacay mood. Thanks again Arya for being in communication with us throughout.

Large apartment. Excellent wifi. Air con in master bedroom worked great but it was warm for me in the main living area and kitchen. Limited view towards the sea. You can cross the road and walk down a narrow path to the beach, which is nice at low tide. Security guard were friendly. Near supermarkets. Great communication. Would recommend.

This was a great house! It is a top floor apartment and was really nice and spacious especially for being in Kenya. It is in a nice area of the Mombasa coast. And there were several nice places to eat within a 10 minute drive. Parking is secured with a guard and free and under the building. Check in was sort of confusing. We didn’t realize this was part of the Jumeirah Beach Resort and you go to their reception to check in and they give you the keys and wristbands you have to wear in their areas - pool, restaurant, beachside areas, etc. Also be aware that ordering food there was super slow like everywhere in the Mombasa area. We waited over an hour and usually 1.5 hours for food at every place we ate at. The food at their cafe is good and it can be delivered to your place and that was really nice! Beds were comfy and AC was cold! Overall it was really enjoyable and comfortable! I would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay, Enos the cook is very kind, clean and cooks delicious food. This was our second time staying here, the kids loved the pool, location is very convenient.

would definately book again. only downside of cowrie shells is that you always gotta take a tuktuk boda or cab to reach a supermarket, bar or restaurant.

Evan was a great host and his condo is amazing. He upgraded us to a larger unit that was available at no extra cost. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful Indian Ocean view. I would book again without hesitation.

If you're looking for a safe and secure place to stay in a good part of Mombasa this is it. Located in English Point, Nyali, the complex and apartment is with easy reach of everything you want to see. The view is great, the place is new and has a wonderful view. The hosts have you covered on information and places to stay. Good wifi and beach below. Good for families or singles. Lovely dog Bobby. I'll be back.

We enjoyed ourselves at Moses place. Great reception and a friendly host. Few metres to the beach, lots of amenities for kids. Would recommend his place to anyone looking for accommodation.

Thank you Sheila for hosting me. The place was clean and good , the host was flexible on arrival and departure times( thanks for that). Relatively close to the public beach. The caretaker was equally amazing and helpful.

So, where do I begin? This is one of the most impressive Airbnbs I’ve been to-especially regarding having anything and everything you could need in the unit. Harun and Loyce definitely set the standard here! More than enough towels are available, lots of complimentary bottled water. Every kitchen appliance appears to be brand new. In fact everything in the apartment is new I believe. The decorating is impeccable and both balconies are a dream. Daily tidying of the unit is provided-much like a hotel. Sheila, the co-host and Eric, the chef who cooked and delivered us local cuisine, were a gem. Harun arranged an excursion for us that was out of this world. I can honestly go on and on. It goes without saying that I highly recommended this listing!!

The apartment had several advantages - amazing view, comfortable proximity to a restaurant and Hamza and his partner communicated impeccably. There are some small touches that need to be added, in order the apartment to be 5/5, I do not doubt that for the next guests all will be fixed.

The place is strategically located in a serene neighborhood with close proximity to the beach. The host is polite and responsive to all your queries Will definitely visit soon

We loved our time at Benson's house. It's actually better than rendered in the photos. The location is also private, quite and close to shops and restaurants. Overall, a great experience.

I love the location and the apartment was nice. It’s located at the very end of Bamburi beach which makes it very peaceful. There is a decent restaurant just downstairs by the beach. Just be aware that you are reliant on taxis or your own transportation when staying here because it’s located at the end of a long dirt road which is not suitable to walk after dark. All in all it’s a great place and I would love to come back!

I had a great stay in the apartment! Overall, a 10/10 from location, the host, the apartment and amenities, great deal! The apartment is right by the beach wih direct access! Definitely coming back!
