Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sea of Japan

Beautiful updated traditional Japanese home. The house is located ideally for walking anywhere in Takayama. The soaking tub is so cool, and the house is beautiful. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again. We personally loved the vegetarian restaurant recommendations in the house book. Very helpful.

Wouw it couldn't be any better!! masa is such a nice guy and very welcoming! upon arriving we felt welcome, he explained everything and went his way. he had answers for every question we had and helped us to the best of his ability. upon arriving we gave him some Dutch gifts ( fridge magnet of a wooden shoe with tulips and a pack of stroopwafels) this shook him but he accepted it with a smile from ear to ear! the accommodation was clean and well taken care of, plenty of room for 2 people and really close to Ebara-machi station, which we used the most to get around. friendly people around Ota and the 7-11 around the corner is also very helpful! next time we are planning to stay longer! Domo arigato gozaimasu masa-san!

Great location! Nishiki market was a 2 minute walk. Family mart was just around the corner. Everything was close and convenient. We love the free refreshments and some nice gifts when we arrived. We love it so much we’re already planning my next trip. LOL

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. My daughter and I are traveling together Your best choice to heal your itinerary It's far from the center, but it was a perfect choice for the price! The bathroom with a beautiful Japanese garden also feels like an outdoor shower and a large bath to relieve daily fatigue. It was clean and tidy, and there were various utensils, so I was able to stay comfortably. The best except for the street! I didn't have a hard time using Uber Taxi. The price was also a little more expensive than the price of Seoul Taxi, so it was okay. I'd like to try this place or your other listings again next time. I also recommend it to large families! I'm a dot next time.

This place was awesome. The house has been restored to feel truly special. Everything is nice and comfortable and just felt like we had everything we needed. Thierno gave us a thorough rundown of everything we needed to know and made us feel welcome. Any follow up questions I had were quickly answered, but generally we didn't need anything because everything was already great. We had our toddler with us and while they didn't have any crib or baby chair, we found the space to be great for her nonetheless. We had 4 adults, which was comfortable, but anymore might start to feel a little cramped. The only downside to this place is that if you plan to walk back from the old town, it's about 5-10 minutes of walking uphill without much shade. This was a little rough, so we figured out it's better to just walk over to the train station and hop in a cab back up instead. Would absolutely recommend staying here and will look at other Iori locations in the future.

Wow! Where to start? The hospitality at this place is unrivaled! Amane and Takashi were more than our hosts, they became our friends and showed us a piece of Japan I think few people get when visiting. It rained the whole time we were there and we still has countless things to do! I have limited space for this review, but the biggest thing that stood out for this Airbnb were the hosts. Our rental car failed and we know very little japanese, but our hosts went above and beyond to help us through this tough situation. In addition they gave us many recommendations for restaurants and places to visit and each one was outstanding! Lastly, the location is breathtaking! We do wish we had better weather, but hearing the ocean waves, rain on the trees, and whinnying of the ponies and the view of Beppu across the cove made this an experience we will never forget. Do yourself a favor and book this place if you are staying on the area, including Beppu...you won't regret it!

Kan is an incredible host and his place is lovely. The tiny home is filled with architectural details that create a beautiful and comfortable space. We were so grateful to Kan for making his tiny home a special place for us to spend our last leg of our honeymoon. The apartment is nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood, which is ideal for taking a break from busy Tokyo. You’re near major transit lines and convenience stores, as well as a lovely park. Kan shared fantastic recommendations for breakfast and lunch nearby — and he was very accommodating to make our check in and out as seamless as possible. I’d happily return!

This hidden gem is conveniently located near the metro line, making it incredibly easy to get around during our stay. We absolutely loved the place—it felt like home, set within a beautifully traditional Japanese-style house. It was truly a wonderful experience, with all the listed amenities and a peaceful atmosphere in a quiet part of town. I highly recommend it for families of three or four. Our host was polite and very helpful whenever we had questions. The thoughtful decor and small details made it feel like one of the most authentic Japanese home experiences you could ask for.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

When you park in front of the house and come down, you will feel good with the cool sea view and the well-organized garden. Also, when you open the door and enter, you will feel the thoughtful consideration of the neatly arranged drip coffee set, audio/CD, and the indoor temperature that has been pre-cooled. It was a place that was comfortable and enjoyable throughout my stay, so I definitely want to stay again when I come to Yeosu. L

We loved our stay at Yamano’s place. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet, but it was just a short walk to the river, bus stop, and train station. The hosts were extremely responsive and kind. They met us at check in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They also sent suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area.

The Ryokan is beautiful, typically Japanese and suitable for our trip with the big family. We admired the beautiful sliding doors, the typical floor, the large French doors and especially the incredibly wonderful Japanese garden every day.

It was really nice to have a private pool so you can swim freely whenever you want. There was also a warm hot water spa, so I was able to enjoy it more comfortably. The bathroom and living room were spacious, so it was enough space for 3 people to stay. Totally satisfied! I definitely want to visit again in the summer:)

Cats Heaven It's a cat heaven, and the flowers in the yard are pretty. Cat lovers, you should definitely visit. Among the cats, there is one that only likes human food, so it would be good to eat something like barbecued pork belly. We ate seasoned meat, so we couldn't share it... The water pressure is good, it's moderately quiet, you can sleep well, and the price is good. However, the driveway is a village alley, so it can be a little difficult to drive if you're not used to it~~~

The stay was a very good experience. Our family of 5 had a great stay. Its location right along Haeundae Beach, the ocean views, and the convenient access to the beach was amazing. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped. I’d highly recommend Pale de CZ for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay in Busan.

It's a comfortable accommodation in a really quiet space. The surroundings were quiet and it was located in the mountains, so I was able to rest really comfortably!

Amazing Airbnb with pool and sauna. Super private and quiet area. Beautiful typical Japanese interior with a luxury touch. The host is very friendly and communication was easy. We would love to come visit again.

Void is located right by the ocean view, it was nice to wake up to beautiful surroundings. It is far away from touristy area which makes it very private. Just a five minute drive away is the 금릉 beach and 협재 beach. That’s also where all the restaurants and stores are located. I would love to visit again.
