Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Schmalkalden-Meiningen

We had a nice, albeit very wet, Pentecost weekend in Rachel's house. We were two families (6 people, 2 children (3 years)). We particularly liked how child-friendly and well-equipped the house was. There are plenty of toys and the trampoline in the garden was a hit. The surroundings are beautifully idyllic. However, we were a little surprised by the high number of ticks, but no one can do anything about that. However, you should prepare yourself before a vacation in the area (vaccination, spray) and check daily, especially with the kids. The house was very cozy and could be heated wonderfully warm with the fireplace in the unfortunately very bad weather. The walk to the house, which is a little elevated, was a little impractical. If you arrive with a little more luggage and shopping, you have to walk the way several times, but it worked. Overall, we were satisfied and felt very comfortable.

We spent three fantastic days in the charming cottage and all felt very comfortable. Many thanks to Elisa and her family for the beautiful bouquet of flowers! The house, the nature and the Rhön inspired us, we will certainly come back!

A beautiful place to relax & discover. Upon arrival, we were greeted on the terrace by a curious, trusting fire salamander. The cottage is very cozy with a lot of attention to detail and you immediately feel comfortable - everything you need is there. A big thank you to Katharina for the warm hospitality. We will be happy to come back!

You can immediately feel that she loves being a host and is incredibly good with people, we felt really comfortable from the first moment. The apartment in this beautiful area of Thuringia is very quiet, spacious and lovingly furnished, and perfectly equipped with everything you need. The landlord is very friendly and always quick to reach. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Our stay was simply great, we felt right at home. The apartment really offers everything you have at home. The bed is a dream😌. Everything is very clean, bright, spacious, even a generous freezer is available. Lots of nature directly within walking distance but also many possibilities to do something by car (Erfurt/Weimar/Coburg) 😊 but even after 1 week stay - the time was far too short. The contact with Nicole and her family was also very nice, you felt welcome right away🤗. We really lacked nothing, definitely worth a visit - be it for hiking, for city trips or simply to relax again. We liked it very much at Thomas, the accommodation is very nicely furnished and sparkling clean, we were received in a really friendly and familiar way and the communication went great. We can only recommend a stay with Thomas and will gladly come back!

Very nice, quiet apartment. You can easily walk to the old town and also get to the various hiking starting points. The check-in was super uncomplicated, and we were also picked up by the dear mom with an umbrella at the car. Thank you very much for that :) All in all, the stay at Rocco's was very nice and we definitely recommend the apartment.

The space fully complies with the description and photos. I immediately felt comfortable. I particularly liked having breakfast on the balcony with sun and a view of the countryside. I would also be spoiled with culinary delights. In addition, the location is great. From Hilders, some highlights of the Rhön can be reached quickly. Fulda is also only half an hour away. It's worth a day trip. In short, I definitely recommend this accommodation and would book it again.

Beautiful, simple accommodation in a super quiet location with a wonderful terrace + garden. We only cooked a little and slept in the accommodation, but everything was fine. We were able to enjoy the evening in the beautiful garden and felt very comfortable. I would definitely take the accommodation for a small excerpt again. The contact with Eleonore was also super uncomplicated.

Everything is available for your stay. Well-equipped kitchen. Refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove. Handy table between kitchen and living room. TV with Netflix, etc. Internet is fine for laptop work. Internet good throughout the apartment. Bedroom and bed thick in order. Easy car parking for home. Stores nearby. What to do? Within 1 hour drive Weimar, Erfurt (Saturday market), Gotha and Arnstad, Saalfeld, Coburg. Stop on the way back and relax in the nature forests, hills and fields. Thuringia has turned out to be a positive surprise, certainly worth repeating.

The apartment is very well suited for a couple. The location is perfect for exploring Fulda and the surrounding area. Parking spaces were available. Shopping facilities are within walking distance. Fulda is a really beautiful city and worth a trip. Thank you.

We had a really nice weekend in the Thuringian Forest! The apartment is quiet, was sparkling clean and really lovingly furnished – just right to unwind and feel good. Silke was really nice and had many good tips for us, which made the stay even more relaxing. We felt really well taken care of and would come back anytime. Absolute recommendation!

The stay with Julia and Oliver was very relaxing. We have proactively received all the information. Communication was very fast and friendly. Julia personally welcomed us, showed us everything and gave us great restaurant tips. The accommodation was sparkling clean and equipped with everything you need. We were very happy with our stay with Dirk. The place is incredibly beautiful - both from the outside and from the inside - and very well maintained. In addition to the cozy rooms and the extensive amenities, the roof terrace was a small highlight for us. Communication was also hassle-free, accommodating and always very quick. Definitely worth a visit.
